Backlane Bar & Street Food is Mooloolaba’s casual dining destination. Offering a fusion menu. Backlane Bar &
Street Food is just one street away from Mooloolaba Beach so be sure to swing by for a drink, a share-plate, or
settle-in for the evening. You can even banish those late night cravings with a delicious selection of tasty supper
options, available until late.
We offer a choice of outdoor street-tables or indoor bench-style shared seating. Bookings are preferred, but not
essential.

Horrible experience, sat down and was given almost no time to order. They were rushing us to decide because of a mix up with bookings. Ruined our whole night.

Hidden gem worth the find. The food tastes like it’s made with love. We will certainly make the effort to go back this holiday.

I wouldn’t say the venue had any ambience. The service was average at best. For my meal I had the buffalo chicken ones with red dragon sauce. They were overcooked and very salty. The prawns. We chilli and garlic butter prawns 3 Prawns for $24.90 not overly large overpriced and the prawns were off. It was only after complaining several times they were taken off our bill. The Venue has a lot of hills decline very disappointing. It was my wife’s birthday and there was very little to celebrate. Would not recommend this venue.

He also checked in with your table regarding the rest of the meal and drinks, and we were happy to hear that your wife enjoyed the food and cocktails—ordering two rounds, in fact! Booked a table for 12 on a Thursday night for a birthday celebration, service from staff was excellent, very helpful when I had to add an extra person and accommodating when we brought our own birthday cake. Food was brought out fast and the variety of dishes, fish tacos, bao buns, prawns, dumplings etc that we selected were great. The sea scallops were a nice size, plump and tender, everyone had a great time and would come again. To top it off we had the churros for dessert. It was a nice and quiet spot with inside and outside seating. Thanks to all the staff at Backlane Bar & street food for an enjoyable night.
