The Balkan was recommended to us from a local bartender. We likely wouldn't have sought out to have Mediterranean food while vacationing in Banff, but so glad we listened to the recommendation! We happened to be there on Greek Night where there was a dancer, audience participation and a of course smashing plates....Opa! That was quite a fun experience! The food was delicious.... especially the lamb shoulder! We were a little disappointed in the lack of dessert options. The frozen yogurt was nothing special, but the baklava was delicious, just way too large. The cocktails and service were good as well. Would definitely recommend going on Greek Night for a different, yet very entertaining vibe!

The service was excellent . Our server Emily was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. A family favorite place to eat whenever we are in Banff. We will be back!!
