Bar Chinois is recognized for its constantly-evolving Chinese menu and French-inspired cocktail and wine program. Recent accolades include being listed in the Michelin Dining Guide USA, the Washington Post Fall Dining Guide, Modern Luxury DC Best of the City and 2024 RAMMY Award Winner for Best Bar in DC.

Located in Mount Vernon Triangle, Bar Chinois is a short walk from the Washington Convention Center, Capital One Arena, National Mall and Union Station. We offer happy hour specials Tuesday-Sunday from 5 pm-7 pm and a bottomless brunch on weekends.

Come party with us at Bar Chinois for Dragchella! A Coachella themed Drag Brunch hosted by Citrine! Tickets are $35. Food and beverage are a la carte. We also have a bottomless drinks option for $30 before and during the show which includes bottomless mimosas and select beers until 3:00pm. All reservations can be seated as early as 12pm and the show begins at 1pm. Tickets are non-refundable and adults age 21+ only. Don't forget to bring cash for tipping entertainers!

food was ok cocktails were bad but price was decent for happy hour. bao buns were burnt to bits - would not recommend but the steamed dumplings were good along with the crab rangoon.

Craving some dumplings on a cloudy day. Almost got derailed because of a St. Patrick’s Day parade in DC. Weekend brunch entails unlimited dim sum at $37 per person for two hours. We got through all of them. Everything we had was delightful. Our only complaint was the lull in service after receiving the first set of dim sum at over 11 minutes. Other than that, it was great.

I love Bar Chinois! The happy hour deal and quality is always a hit. Be advised this restaurant is cute and small and gets quite packed.

Food was so so good! Went for a birthday meal and it did NOT disappoint. We got seated right away and though it was very busy, all of our food came out right away. Thank you : )
