                    The menu is very seafood-based and it is absolutely fabulous. Mainly small plates but the flavors explode in your mouth. It's really like being in Spain! Service is wonderful and the venue is gorgeous and lively.

                    We come to Bar Mar about once a month and for a reason. The food is fantastic, the service is impeccable, and Christos. Christos is the host at Bazaar Meats but I saw him at Bar Mar and couldn't help but say hello. He's very personable and considerate. A real highlight at the restaurant.

                    With the closure of Jaleo I was extremely disappointed in the food offerings at Bar Mar given I had expected a comparable experience for Spanish cuisine. Sadly only three dishes on the whole menu would you find in Spain, the rest, whilst interesting can be found in any other American style restaurant. Chicago downtown deserves more authentic Spanish cuisine with sadly only Lil Ba Ba Reeba able to own this space.
