    I’m celiac and the waiter was knowledgeable, the pizza was delicious. We sat by the kitchen so the noise level was quite high, but it was great to witness how efficiently the kitchen was operated! One other observation- the staff seemed to all get along. Great experience overall!

    Food was incredible- service was subpar from our waiter. Didn’t introduce himself, tell us about anything on the menu and barely stayed long enough to take our orders. He was hardly present or interactive and was overall disappointing.

    We are regulars here and this time we came earlier than normal and actually preferred it as the music and noise was much lower than normal also the food was a bit better than normal

    If it wasn’t for the staff supporting the waiter the service would have been terrible. The waiter was rushed and never came back to check on us . We sat there waiting to order more wine .. thank goodness the other staff ( busters etc ) were on it

    Barbusa has been a favorite for years when staying in San Diego. This time it just seemed like the food was being rushed out. One dish was cold and the other was bland. The marinara sauce which was normally delicious was watery. The restaurant was very loud even though it wasn’t crowded due to music. Also it was cold inside since they had the front door propped open. Don’t think we will be back ever again as the quality of food has deteriorated.

    Lively atmosphere but very loud - its hard to heard anyone say anything. Food was alright.
