Barley & Boar is a cozy boutique pub located in downtown Atascadero. We distill our own liquor, brew our own beer, and craft our own delicious fare from fresh and local ingredients. Dinner is full service, and our bar is open until midnight.

Join us monthly as we change our menu to showcase what’s in season.

    We totally recommend this place. It is a bit pricey but the food is excellent. It's a noisy, pub-like atmosphere so keep that in mind if you'd rather go somewhere more romantic and subdued. We had wine but would like to return to try their ales and the late night happy hour by the fire.

    We had a wonderful evening at Barley and Boar! It was my husband's birthday and we sat at the countertop overlooking the kitchen. It was really nice to engage with the chefs. They responded to our inquisitiveness and were very friendly. Our server Darcy was so amiable and her assistant was too. Even the hostess was so friendly! This restaurant is above and beyond...they make you feel very special!

    The food was amazing. Simple as that. Totally worth it just for the food but the staff was great and the restaurant has a great vibe. We did the counter seating to view the open kitchen and got to chat with the cooks. They were all super fun. Once the restaurant closes we grabbed a few drinks from the bar and relaxed. We will visit again.

    Barley &Boar was marvelous as always but this was my first time dining seated at the counter where I could see all the wonderful things I wasn’t ordering being finished and plated. Some things were somewhat prepped- not sure if they have a commissary that serves all the establishments? I sampled the layered fries from my dining partner’s plate- holy cow those are tasty! They were sold out on my last visit and I can see why. I had the gnocchi the red sauce was full of whole peeled tomatoes and had a nice classic Italian flavor, mild but mushrooms added a nice flavor. Looking forward to trying more things when the menu flips. My adult kids raved about the burger- it is delightful. Not my usual thing to order but, you should eat one here.
