Barrio Queen is the best restaurant in Phoenix for authentic Mexican food and craft cocktails. Our food pays homage to history and culture by serving fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine using traditional recipes from barrios throughout Mexico. Our extensive tequila and mezcal list set the stage for our array of fun, flavorful drinks. Each has a personality all its own! Inside our locations, the Día de los Muertos decor creates an energetic and social atmosphere that allows you to detach and enjoy your unique, memorable dining experience.

Grilled steak tossed with a warm flavorful tocino vinaigrette and places on a bed of mixed field greens. Topped with tomatoes, crumbled bacon, goat cheese, roasted pumpkin seeds and homemade fried onions.

Layers of romaine lettuce, queso fresco, diced red onions red peppers, avocado, grilled corn cut from the cob, epazote black beans, pomegranate seeds and barrio spiced corn tortilla chips. Served with a side or our homemade creamy roasted chipotle dressing. Vegetarian.

A roasted poblano pepper filled with chicken, apples, pears, dried apricots, golden raisins, walnuts, onions and garlic. Covered in a delicate almond cream sauce, finished with the colors of the Mexican flag fresh cilantro, queso fresco, almond slices and pomegranate seeds. Served with chipotle mashed potatoes and calabacitas.

The Queen's acclaimed pork is marinated in sour orange and achiote paste, wrapped in a banana leaf and slow cooked all night long. Topped with pickled red onions and homemade pico de gallo. Served with fresh hand-pressed corn tortillas, Mexican-style rice and epazote black beans.

Patio was fantastic. Service was good. Food was ok. Not a lot of flavor. Chips were really hard. Salsa was good. Happy hour pricing is great. Very expensive otherwise.

Delicious food, servers have been very good to me each time I've dined there. A little noisy during busy hours but I was still well taken care of.

Great experience. We went through n for their Valentines special but discovered it was different from what we had seen online. We were disappointed as items we particularly wanted were not on the menu. The server apologized for the difference. Shortly thereafter, Brian the manager came over and again apologized. He comped the guacamole (a house special) and allowed us to get the dessert we had wanted. We hadn’t continued to complain after the first discussion with the server. They could have ignored it but instead went above and beyond.
