Nothing quite captures the spirit of a Cornish summer than following a summertime dip in its azure waters with a plate of lusciously fresh local seafood. Happily, that's just the experience to be found here at Beach House Falmouth, which is just yards from the shore of Swanpool beach near Falmouth.

Visit to experience local, sustainable seafood such as Falmouth Bay scallops, Falmouth Bay lobster or crab, whole fish from Newlyn Fish Market or a Shellfish Platter to share, all designed to satiate the appetite of any sandy‑toed gourmet. We are open from 9am every day, serving food all day.

Dogs are welcome everywhere!

When we heard the name had changed we were worried, but we didn't need to be. The food and everything else was excellent.

A regular of this place prior to new ownership I was interested to see how perfection was either maintained or improved upon. Great shout keeping the staff and chef… more space make inside (no booths or over sized chairs) also pleasing changes. Only observation was some mild disappointment to have missed the half price oysters on Mondays… is the advertising up to date, misleading or could it have been made clear this was only for a limited time.

I went with friends for my birthday- the place was packed and buzzing - great atmosphere and staff very attentive. My only constructive criticism is that £42 is a bit steep for a bottle of Prosecco - and although the lobsters were very tasty, the were very small. Still, a fabulous dining experience!

The Beach House, Swanpool, Falmouth is a few minutes walk from where we live, above the sea and has atmospheric outdoor white lights. It specialises in fresh seafood which we love. We booked for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband and I both enjoyed a starter of scallops which were delicious. I highly reccomend the crab risotto as a main course but I did find the serving to be rather large. My husband ordered the fish of the day which was megrim. He said is was perfectly cooked and the side of salted fries were crispy and delicious. To finish I had a delicious coffee affogato, the ice cream was really cold - just as I love it. My husband said the same about his custard ice cream with rhubarb. The service was friendly and attentive.

We had a fabulous hot seafood sharing platter which was perfect Everything completely fresh and delicious. Mussels, clams, squid, prawns, scallops, cockles and we added half a lobster plus skinny fries. Good puds as well. The fish we saw also looked beautiful so 150% for the food. Also had an excellent bottle of rose. Service was friendly, efficient and good. 2 small niggles - for us the music was too loud so became intrusive (and is laughably excessive in the loos!) plus a glass of warm limoncello (should be icy cold) but it won’t stop us going back for the excellent food and lovely position overlooking the beach.

Absolutely love this place. Always come here when we come to Cornwall. One of my favourite restaurants. Excellent quality seafood and a great ambiance 👌👌
