Belvedere feeds a growing global appetite for authentic local encounters intertwined with paddock to plate. Through thoughtful interactions, we will create experiences that talk to the providence of the site (through art and design) and to the produce we serve.

The site’s colonial backstory serves as an entrée to its incarnation as ‘The Belvedere’ – a beloved Art Deco dance hall that shaped the city’s social fabric from the late 1930s. This story is memorialised in mesmerising chain art – featuring a 7.5m x 3m Kriskadecor panel.

Paying homage to this memory, the new ‘Belvedere’ will take its rightful spot as a modern-day gathering place, inviting travellers, corporate crowds and locals to celebrate the best of Tasmania.

From paddock to seashore, the menu will showcase the Apple Isle’s rich bounty of produce, and Cape Grim Beef will share centre stage with Meander Valley Chicken, local cheeses and artisan products.

    Organised a small dinner party (7 pax) for my mother's birthday recently. While the booking procedure was smooth I simply could not contact the venue to ask a few simple requests. Tried several times via telephone and sent messages to no avail...? While the food was OK it was an abbreviated menu which apparently was the norm for Sunday nights, fortunately the Mushroom Risotto satisfied the two vegans in our group.

    I attended this restaurant with a friend who uses a wheelchair. Upon arrival the waiter moved items to ensure a clear pathway to our table. He also removed the chair so that my friend's wheelchair could be at the table. Service was very prompt, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and alcohol list. We ordered oysters, ravioli and salt and pepper squid. All meals were outstanding in not only presentation but flavour as well. The decor was delightful and comfortable. Would definitely come and dine here again.

    Nice friendly service. Dinner menu was excellent. We arrived at a busy time with a large group arriving which appeared to have not pre booked. Over 25 people. Staff coped quietly and really well with an awkward situation. Relaxing atmosphere after initial problem on arrival. Great staff.

    BEST Restaurant in Hobart. BEST value for money. BEST staff with regard to professionalism and friendliness. Food is ALWAYS IMPECCABLE. Accomodation is 5 Star!. EVERYTHING about The VIBE IS AMAZING. A special mention to MJ and the other lovely girl from Missouri in the States. 2 of the nicest people anyone could ever wish to meet. They are an ASSETT to The Vibe. Management are wonderful. Chefs talents in kitchen is Michelin 5 Star!!! Regards Kevin Louise

    After reading some mixed reviews about this venue, I was hesitant to make a booking but thought we’d give it a go and I’m glad we did! The venue itself is stunning and the interior has been decorated beautifully. We were greeted by friendly staff and offered drinks very promptly. The drinks list has a great Tasmanian selection which is very important to me as a local. The food was not overly complicated but extremely tasty and arrived in a timely manner. The service was attentive and efficient. Apparently they have a $2 oyster happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays too! Highly recommend and we look forward to our return. Thank you!

    The food was fabulous. Our drinks were forgotten until we reminded them when our mains arrived. The most disappointing thing was our proximity to the next tables. We were so close I could hear the next table chewing, the most off putting sound ever. The table on the other side we could hear the talking on their phones and detailed conversations! The venue and food fabulous but the table locations crap

    On the value not sure why the Mother’s Day meal was quoted at $59 then had a service charge added of a $40 for being a Sunday Why would you advertise one price for a set meal then add $10 per head when there
