The Berton Vineyards story began 25 years ago from humble beginnings. We are still young enough to be awed by tradition, but we also challenge ourselves by testing the boundaries of winemaking.
We pride ourselves on being a contemporary winery with an emphasis on all that is casual, friendly and approachable in wine. Our philosophy is to make affordable, easy drinking wines of quality achieved through pairing modern technology with traditional techniques.
Located in the small town of Yenda, our cellar door is situated in the original winery building, dating back to 1945. Surrounded by old concrete fermenters, it’s a relaxed and welcoming space to taste our award-winning wines.

Surrounded by old concrete fermenters, it’s a relaxed and welcoming space to compare and taste locally grown varieties such as Durif, Fiano and Australia’s only Aranel. Take a seat at the bar or the long table, where a friendly and knowledgeable host will guide you through a selection of wines - tasting is $5pp and includes a tasting list of up to 10 wines - selected by us to give an overview of the award winning wines we love to make.

This price includes a wine tasting for 1 person, an all local seasonal grazing platter and the usual Berton hospitality. A list of around 10 Berton Vineyards wines is included - selected by us to give an overview of the award winning wines we love to make.
Platters include a selection of gourmet cheeses, olives, quince paste, dried figs and crackers.
Sit back, relax and listen to the guidance and education from one of our cellar door staff members.
