Come experience BIG fun at Maryland’s most award-winning winery. Nestled on 100 rolling acres among the Blue Ridge Mountains, our farm grows 18 grape varietals and produces more than 25 types of estate wine.


Big Cork Vineyards offers estate grown wine and a robust grab and go market in a vintage and rustic setting with friendly service and an inviting ambience. Guests can come to Big Cork Vineyards to sample a variety of wines and taste such refreshing items as gourmet cheese, freshly baked bread, and charcuterie.

    Our indoor, seated high top bar tastings include 6 award-winning wines. Not sure what time you'll arrive at Big Cork? Not a problem, reservations are encouraged, but not required. We'll be happy to see you when you arrive. BIG Corker Club Members may purchase a tasting at a 50% discount. Please email kbodmer@bigcorkvineyards.com to book. Groups of 6 or more are encouraged to book a private group tasting. Please email tkloos@bigcorkvineyards.com to make arrangements. BIG Cork Vineyards reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the tasting time for a full refund.

    The initial response as a whole was this looks quiet and not so active. Once outside the vehicle and actually checked the place out it came to like right in front of me. The tasting was nice and exposed me to some new wines. The food truck that was there, on Saturday 26th of October, was satisfying to the palate. The musical artist that performed was like a layer of warmth on a chilled evening. She sung some oldies but goodies and kept use entertained for a few hours. The main thing that stood out to me was there were no fire pits to keep warm on a cold afternoon. As a whole I enjoyed my first experience at this establishment I plan to return with more friends.

    My partner and I had a blast! Sara was our guide through our tasting. She was attentive and informative. We decided to become a wine club member because of her. Thank you Sara!- Sybil.

    There is no BIG sign indicating the name of the vineyard, so you will pass the entrance (gravel driveway leading to the building). When you're driving on Main Street, go slow and look to your left, and when you see grape vines, then that's the winery. I had made reservations for 12 o'clock noon, and was running late, so I called the restaurant phone number, and received voice mail. Called back again, and voice message came on. Once you arrive at the front door entrance, you do not see a hostess, or any indication that there is a restaurant. The winery wants you to do a "tasting" first so you can have a better feeling of what wine you'd like to have with your lunch, said our waiter when we asked him some questions. How can an employee not make recommendations and not have some knowledge of the wines that he is serving? Shrimp tacos was good, and you get three. And that's it. Well, with a condiment size of guacamole and salsa. Needless to say, I left feeling still hungry, and was glad I had packed some snack foods in my car. I don't live in the local area and had driven an hour to come to this winery. Also, $10 for wine tasting.

    I took my wife (the mother of my 3 boys) out for a Mother's Day Brunch at Big Cork last week. I had the Petite Filet and my wife had the Crab Shrimp Salad. Both entrees were done to perfection, as well as was the wine pairings (from their own vineyards) and desserts (made in house). The service was so good that it was hard to believe they just opened recently. Next time I'm going to reserve a table outside so we can look out at the beautiful views of the vineyards.
