Bistro 555 is under new ownership by a group of long-time friends including the owners of former Le Mistral and Cafe Rabelais, established French institutions in Houston. With a joint-experience of over 5 decades, Bistro 555 will transport you to the different regions of France with traditional bistro fares. Our specialties include Escargot in sizzling garlic butter, onion soup topped with melted gruyere cheese, Moules-Frites, Cassoulet, and profiteroles. We also serve wood-oven fired pizzas. Staff was very nice. Our host and waitress was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us with being late. The food was delicious.

Delightful dining evening. Warm, cozy table and great dishes of escargot, duck and chicken. Waiter recommended a great bottle of Pinot Noir too.

Very fine food and great service for a reasonable price. Pepper steak was exceptional and fresh salad appropriate and tasty.

I celebrated my birthday with a dear friend and was thrilled with the lunch, dessert and impeccable service. A very special birthday lunch indeed . The bread is deliciously served warm and amazing! We had Tomates Burrata Et Pasteque (Heirloom tomato salad | fresh burrata | watermelon | balsamic reduction | fresh basil) and Les Moules Frites Du "Rabelais” (Fresh mussels | shallot parsley white wine cream sauce | hand-cut French fries). For dessert we ordered Pistache Liegeois (Homemade pistachio ice cream | pistachio crème anglaise | chocolate sauce | vanilla whipped cream) They also gave me a beautiful dessert on the house with a lit candle for my birthday. Profiteroles (Puff pastry "choux" | vanilla ice cream | hot chocolate sauce | whipped cream | toasted walnuts) It was perfect! I will definitely be back.
