非常にスタイリッシュなサパークラブ、上品なもぐり酒場、洗練されたサルーンのそれぞれの役割が2階建ての内部に盛り込まれたレストランで、ゆるやかに湾曲したマホガニーのバー、華やかな柱頭のある縦溝彫りの柱、魅力的なオリジナルのアート、豪華な長椅子、居心地のよいブース席、糊の効いたリネン、光り輝くグラス、洗練された食器などが特徴です。1930年代と1940年代に忠実なキュナードとフレンチラインの客船の栄光の日々を思わせる上品なモダンアートの雰囲気が漂います。ファッショナブルで華やかな魅力のあるレストランです。流行を追い求めることはBIXのスタイルではありません。BIXの常連客にはサンフランシスコの有力者のほか、オーナーのDoug Biederbeckが「精通した旅行者」と呼ぶ遠方から来る通のゲストなどがいます。何の変哲もない路地から、素晴らしい料理とお酒、元気の良いサービス、スタイリッシュな懐かしさ、洗練されたジャズライブを楽しめる別世界のような場所、それがBIXです。

    It’s been better. The food and service this time was not at the usual standard. The menu had become a bit dull and the desserts need an overhaul.

    Sadly, this old-time SF favorite was less than impressive. The food was fair at best; the kitchen forgot orders, but the servers and bussers were friendly enough. Was hoping for more.

    The apps were delish. The drinks outstanding. The service was good (not great). The mains were fair. Pork chop tough. Hamburger was good (at $36 or something like that). Super fun - but don’t go for the food. Suggest sitting at the bar, drinking and ordering apps. 2 doz oysters for $125 seemed a little outrageous. But they were oh so good!

    The food was amazing, Steak tartare & bbq Duck was delicious! Cocktails were awesome! Highly recommend Bix!! Atmosphere is best hands down ❤️

    Food was alright. We got the potato pillows (their most popular appetizer) and it was good, but not amazing. We also got the oysters and steak which was also okay. The Brussels sprouts were too sweet and wet.. My partner got pork chop as his main dish and this is what we would get again if we returned. Pork chop tasted like a Chinese pork belly (Chasu) that I can make, so nothing special. Service was also fair. Shoutout to the bartender who nicely packaged Chex mix into a to-go box for us after we asked at the bar. Our main server, however, was a little cold when I had asked if we could do a sweet treat at the end for my partner’s birthday. He said we had to buy dessert in order for us to get a candle on it. At the end, he offered candles and two small ice cream scoops to us, which was the least he could do after a $300+ dinner. Overall, would rate 2.5/5 and don’t think I’d be back.

    Beautiful building. Wonderful ambiance and vibes. More than exceptional service alongside good food. The aesthetics were my favorite part

    Atmosphere was really nice. The service was nice. Everyone was actually very dressed up. The food was not good, except for oysters. For the amount and quality of food the prices were very high. Might be a lovely date night to sit at the bar ans listen to jazz though.

    Bix is hands-down the best restaurant in SF and has been for years. The food is incredible, the service is top notch, the bar is amazing, and the ambiance is unbeatable. They always nail it.
