Time counts at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. Since our humble beginnings back in 1978, we've continued to refine our brewhouse experience to make BJ's a place where you can make the most of any meal. I haven’t dined here in over a year, and I was pleasantly surprised by very fast, friendly and efficient service. The food was excellent as usual, and I would have given it a five if it weren’t for a couple families bringing their screaming children. It would have been nice to turn up the music a little so that it would cover some of the noise. Other than that, the dinner was excellent.

The kitchen needs to follow the waiter's instructions on how the food needs to be prepared as requested by the customer. There is a problem when one requests an extra well done burger and later it arrives at the table medium rare.

To start, I was given a small table for 5 people, even though they have plenty available. I went with 3 smalls kids, extra space in the table is a must. Service was slow and food took a long time. But the worse for me, they have the TV's on news. Half of the Tv's were showing sport and the other the news. I did not like the idea of my kids watching fires, shooting, bombs in Ukraine and Ruasia. Testing bombs, tankers, etc. Not the kind of TV I want for a family dinner.

Jazz is a great waitress, very attentive and sweet. Knowledge of the menu and made great recommendations. Area of Improvement: The hostess with long brown hair today left much to be desired. We had reservations for 4 pm, arrived at 3:52 pm and she said she could not seat us until 4 pm since that’s the reservation. I’ve never made a reservation where if availability allows we are not sat earlier, but ok. We asked again at 4pm but she is engaged with a co-worker talking and it seemed as if my question bothered her. The place was not full, 4:10 pm we were sat. My understanding of a reservation is that the restaurant has time to prepare for the party. The timing wasn’t so much of an issue as was the hostess’ tone, non-verbal communication and overall attitude. She is the first contact with the customer creating our impression of the establishment, which was not good. Additional customer service training would be beneficial for her.
