The food was pretty good, although disappointingly they were out of the first two things we wanted to order (including the seasonal fish), so we had to go with a third choice - short ribs for $42, which were tender and tasty.
What really got my goat, however, was the abusive pricing on bottled water. As soon as we sat down, the server asked if we'd like sparkling or still water. Since she didn't want sparkling water, my wife answered still water, not realizing that she was ordering bottled water. They brought us a 28 oz bottle of Saratoga water, and charged us $12 for it, although the street price appears to be around $2.50. A 380% markup seems excessive to me, and of course they ask you in a manner such that you might well not be aware of the price when you answer. In my wife's case, she was not even aware that she was ordering something she would be charged for (and I just let it go, not wanting to be cheap, but wrongly assuming they would not charge so much for such a thing).
An honest restaurant would volunteer the price of anything else they offer you that's not on the menu. Otherwise, it's a cheap trick to squeeze a few more dollars out of you.
