   和のテイストをベースにした創作料理。時々イタリアンな雰囲気も混じるが・・・器もほとんどが和のテイスト。小皿が延々と続き、ひとくちサイズで一見物足りないが、気がつけばおなかも気分も満たされて。周りの雰囲気は、ストリートビューで見る限り少しさみしいエリアに感じるが、夜は人通りも多く賑わっているのでほぼ大丈夫。何かと話題の多い店です。

   Was more of a life-time experience than a meal. It's not just about the food but the total package - ambiance, music, service, etc. I would definitely go back after my bonus next year.

   More than lived up to the expectation. Overall excellent and highly recommended. The online caveat/downside was the quite significant initial wait time at Roberta's very crowded bar before being let to the restaurant.

   Food was great and very well done. Most of the waitstaff were very knowledgeable and friendly which made it a somewhat nice experience. It's unfortunate that we ended up leaving with such a bad taste in our mouths -- for whatever reason, the somm didn't appreciate us asking about the wine she was serving (from the wine pairing) and gave us a very long, drawn out lecture about "what it means to be a two-star restaurant". Talk about inappropriate (not to mention awkward).

   Overall an incredible meal, worthy of very special occasions. Food was creative, generous and delightful - several of 19+ courses were just mind blowing in best possible way. Flavors ran the gamut from wtf experimental to comfort food: a mid-way course of soup, pizza crust & butter just made me grin. Wine pairings, including beer and sake as well, were unique and all worked exceptionally well. Staff were wonderful - hip and easygoing and carefully mindful. Seating facing the kitchen enhanced the meal for me personally, smelling everything and watching the back & forth as food was prepared. For the reasonable-but-still-high cost and limited reservations, I had high expectations - they were exceeded in many ways. Up there in the top echelon of dining in nyc.

   Thoroughly loved this place. First time there. We had several of their special daily small plates. Scallops were delicious. Their house sangria was great. Nicely decorated, casual, dark, sophisticated.

    Went for my birthday and it was amazing! Ambiance, music, friendly staff with incredibly personal sommeliers and chefs. Tasting menu with only 12 seats in the whole place. Intimate yet fun! Will be back!!
