food was great, but service could’ve been better. she was nice and did the bare minimum, but definitely could’ve checked on us more because she rarely did.

I have never been before, but my friend recommended it to me for a birthday dinner with my friends. It was just as I was hoping for. The table was set up with candles, flowers, and water. The atmosphere was cozy, and warm lights permeated the room. There were nine of us, but we all had plenty of room to breathe while sitting. I definitely would come back again for a special occasion. We also loved our server! I don't recall her name but she had blonde hair and seemed very happy to be there. 9/10 experience.

We had 7 in our part, some out of state visitors. Loyal customer to the Bensons/Marcus restaurant group. First round of drinks were on the mark. The second round was ok, some had the spicy/jalepeno infused flavor in many of them, which we did not order or want. The server handled it and swapped the wrong drinks which was appreciated. So the server was excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was hit and miss. Chips, salsas were good, guacamole seemed not homemade and more pre-made and purchased, brussel sprouts were very good. Dinners were also hit and miss and also took a long time to get to us, the manager did stop by to apologize. Salmon bowl was very good, just too salty. Tandori bowl was served cold and dry, but we just didn't feel like sending it back. The family style tacos were good but older people in the group were confused in the process. We will be back, just not as good as it has been in the past. The new menu seems less mexican and mode American and general flavors and options.

Pros: Ambiance was awesome. The spicy marg was great!! Cons: Upon ordering 3 of us were deciding between the 8oz steak($30) and the Short Rib($27) enterees. He highly recommend the Short rib so 2 of us tried the short rib! When the entrees arrived, the meat was the portion size of 2 chicken nuggets. The plating didn't help. We really wish we had gotten the chimmichuri steak it.... it looked great! We laughed hysterically for 10 minutes just staring at our kiddie meals. If you are going to recommend an entree at least be sure to say "Hey it won't be 8oz, instead 2oz!" We would have simply ordered an appetizer or something else! And of course after he sees us laughing-crying, l the server admits he never saw the portion that small and he just started working there. Well, don't recommend it then!! We went across the street to shack shack immediately after and ordered burgers!

The service is usually better. The food is good, the river seating excellent. They had trouble using the scanner to take credit card info. Lots of delays and long waits tonight. It is usually excellent.

Steak wasn’t cooked as ordered, twice. Manager took care of it and was excellent. Brussel sprouts and fundido are worth venturing back for.

We had a wonderful time at the Blue Bat. The food was amazing and the Pain Killer 🔥🔥🔥 we had a large party and the space was a bit tight, but overall it was great!!

Everything was perfect….. we were in a time crunch to get to the theatre. Everyone was so accommodating and the food was delish!

Quiet Sunday brunch. Drinks were delicious and strong. Started with the brussel sprouts which are always delicious. The chilaquiles were a little disappointing, came out a lukewarm rather than hot and melty and were pretty bland. Could use more salsa or something to kick up the flavor. The positive was that they had a good amount of egg in them and the chips are very crunchy. Overall not as good as dinner but still one of my go-to places.
