We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

    Very easy to make the reservation. Was immediately seated and my server, Jess, was great. The food and drink were delicious. Love their Oyster specials along with the Happy Hour.

    Too loud is our only negative comment. I did notice many patrons of the gray hair variety (us included) struggling to hear each other. Some relatively inexpensive acoustic batys could help this immensely. Great food and service.

    Used to be the food was excellent. Last nite we ordered lobster roll and it came out uncooked. Disgusting. How could they let raw fish out of the kitchen. We did not order sushi, we ordered a cooked lobster roll.

    Best oysters available in our region. Any and every dish that we’ve ever tried has been well seasoned with amazing flavor who would’ve thought even deviled eggs would be prepared in that fashion.  calamari is fantastic with a nice twist of spice and sliders are amazing.

    My expectations were likely too high for a first time guest. Overall, it meal for the two couples was good. Oysters were tiny and sushi role was great. Fish and chips was disappointing. Server was very good. Very high level of background noise made for difficult conversations. Cost wise, we thought it was on the high end for what we ordered. Happy hour seems the most viable reason to return!

    Kris took great care of us. All of our food was outstanding. Oysters, calamari, sushi and our teriyaki salmon were delicious. Don’t forget the key lime pie which is the best in town. Thank you Kris!

    The scallops were ambrosia - lightly crisped outside and tender inside. Definitely will be returning for those! The Notorious BIOB cocktail was delicious with just a hint of carbonation. Kris took excellent care of us, as well. Overall highly recommend!

    Good food, awful service. Not only did our waiter act like he didn’t want to be there and delivered extremely poor service, he gave us the incorrect bill to pay. Unfortunately I did not notice until after he ran the card. A manager and 3 charges with 2 refunds later, no apology from either the waiter or manager. Not acceptable.
