Bobbie's is a New York-inspired cocktail bar. Walk-ins welcome or make a reservation.

At Bobbie's it's all about mid-century furnishings, plush velvet, great music, world-class cocktails and bar food curated by Neil Perry.

In partnership with Linden Pride of the renowned Dante, New York, Bobbie’s has the underground energy of a New York style cocktail bar with the refined, sophisticated flair of a Neil Perry institution. It’s about keeping things in the family: when Linden was 17, he was polishing glasses at Neil’s Rockpool restaurant. In a full-circle moment, they’ve come together to showcase their passion for produce-driven experiences.

Located in the basement of 24 Bay St, Double Bay, the same Neville Gruzman-designed heritage building as Neil’s Song Bird restaurant, Bobbie’s was named after Linden’s grandfather, the legendary radio broadcaster Bob Rogers, who mingled with the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in their heyday.

We had a 90 minute booking. We were on time but seated 10 minutes later as the table was not ready. One hour later, we were interrupted mid-conversation and mid-meal to be asked to move from our table to the bar to accommodate the next booking arriving in 15 minutes. We said no as we were seated late and were only two thirds through our 90 minute booking. Shouldn't it be the new arrivals who are put on the bar, not us who were still eating?! After some back and forth, the staff member agreed. The food was good but small and expensive. We stupidly ordered the plate of crisps which we though might be home made but turned out to be a $20 plate of what appeared to be Lays cheese and onion chips. The drinks were also expensive. In addition, it was extremely loud. This was 6pm but everyone in there was already shouting at each other as if they'd been drinking all afternoon and then we were forced to shout at each other to be heard. The wait staff are all European with thick accents and were hard to understand with all the noise. There were four of us and we all agree to leave early and go across to the Oaks where we got a very reasonably priced bottle of champagne and had a much better time.

The staff are so amazing and attentive, it's a very safe and comfortable venue which is refreshing. Also, the food, absolutely amazing. Can't wait to come back.

Our first time at Bobbies, and we had a couple of amazing drinks - topped with the great service. Loved the live performances (subtle but so unique and lovely), the decore, and ambiance. Price point a little steep, and didn't know that almost all drinks were 30+, would maybe reserve this place for occasions in the future. All and all - would still highly recommend checking out!

Waiters poor.. seemed v in experienced . We were the only people in the restaurant.. enough staff.. but no one knew what they were doing. Had to ask for an extra menu.. gave us 1 for 4 of us. Didn’t clear the plates in a timely fashion. Will go back when they train the staff better.

Poor business practice to exit clients when venue is half full. Would have been happy to stay longer and spend more but got told to leave when several tables were empty. Understand time limits but it’s madness to move people on when not.

Whilst the ambience at bobbies was great we were exited because there was a perception that there would be other people wanting our table. This was at 4pm In the afternoon and half the place was empty. It was a. Rude experience and not reflective of what was happening in the venue. Others we’ve spoken to have shared this view. We went to Bibo who were far more accommodating. Shame on Bobbies

The perfect place for a first date, the timings cover sharing a bottle of wine or longer having some food. The venue is stylish and high end, making you feel lucky just to be allowed a table. BZ Mr Perry

Warm flat beer not poured at table and chasing for water refills. Apologies offered and a nice mini cocktail offered which was nice. Singer and dj a great idea but not totally professional delivery. We will try again !
