   Food had good flavor, though didn't feel it matched the price tag (I understand prices are up all around and businesses need to pay the bills so I wasn't mad about the value) ; had a really nice cocktail from the Special list. We were there on a Thurs night and the dining room was empty (except for us), so it felt odd. A few folks came in later. Server was engaging and knowledgeable. Considering how few folks were dining, we felt service could have been more attentive.

   Loved it and the food is simply outstanding. Great street views very modern but again it’s the outstanding food.

   Beautiful restaurant downtown Oakland, perfect spot for my valentines date. My date was hesitation at first because it was outside of her comfort zone, but she eventually ended up liking the food. We enjoyed ourselves; the service made the night special. Thanks to the waitress with the pink shirt and black pants for the menu tips.

   Great location and atmosphere. Food and service were high quality. They also validate parking if you use the valet at the Marriott across the street. I'll be back for more business meetings.

   The foods cost and ratio was awful. I'd be happy to pay over $35 for a gumbo but for it to taste kind of bland and to only get maybe 2 cups was just disappointing. The portion sizes otherwise on other dishes was also amiss. The service was fine but the waitress seemed keen on upselling versus sharing more about the food since it would be great to learn a little more about the recipes we're paying so much for.

   Bocanova is hands down our favorite spot to eat! It’s beautiful, the staff is fantastic, the food is amazing. When we’re there, the whole vibe is so comfortable and familiar. We love to have special dinners there and bring our out of town guests!

    I was invited to dinner at Bocanova in Oakland. The inviting picturesque view of the restaurant and surroundings piqued my curiosity of what I was about to experience. I received a warm welcome as I entered the restaurant by the staff. We enjoyed the amazing appetizers, and I am not a fan of Ahi Tuna, it was awesome. We followed the appetizers with our main course selection: grilled marinated lamb chops and Peruvian style chicken. Delicious! If you haven't visited Bocanova, please visit.
