This Saturday, we proudly present the Steve Carrington Trio, led by the renowned saxophonist Steve Carrington. About the Artist: Born in East Baltimore, Steve Carrington discovered his passion for jazz at an early age, picking up the saxophone at just seven years old. After honing his craft at the Baltimore School for the Arts and Berklee College of Music, he went on to share the stage with jazz legends Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Hargrove, and Elvin Jones. Steve has toured internationally with Kool & the Gang and the Dizzy Gillespie Legacy Band, while also serving as a dedicated mentor at the Eubie Blake Center. As a bandleader, his latest album, Far Beyond the Horizon (2023), continues to push the boundaries of contemporary jazz. Last night was another exceptional dinner at bonito 47. We ordered from the sushi menu that was amazing. Crispy rice was a large portion, piping hot and delicious. The large chef sampler sushi plate was to die for. I’ll be coming back for that very soon.

Beautiful place. It feels very warm , sophisticated and expensive. Tables nicely spaced. Live music nice touch but a little loud. The music should be a draw for the crowd. It was just ok. They should change up the music a bit. Nice dim lighting and pretty dining room. Great service. Food was just ok. We had mostly sushi.

We had a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with great flavors and fresh ingredients. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and professional. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it!

Overall we really enjoyed our experience at Bonito 47. The food, ambience, and service were outstanding, by far the best kosher restaurant we have been to in America so far. The only thing we were disappointed by was the lack of transparency by the restaurant. We made reservations ahead of time through open table and we were informed that there will be a 5 course tasting menu on the day of our reservation for NYE, and that the normal menu will not be available at all. Of corse agreed to this and we would have had no issues if that was truly the case. When we were seated we only got the tasting menu which we clearly were peppered for because we were informed ahead of time that this is the only menu that will be available. However, as the night went by we were very surprised to find out that other tables were indeed offered regular Manue’s and had options like sushi which we didn’t get at all. This was unfortunate because had we were given the option we would have opted out of the tasting menu. We were full by the middle of the third course and had so much wasted food and money, which was really unnecessary. We were planning to come back tomorrow for lunch however due to the lack of transparency we will be changing our plans. If we could give 4.5 stars we would because of the lack of transparency, however since this only a full star system we don’t feel like they deserve to lose a full star over this because other than that, our experience was very enjoyable. We recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting time square or living in the area, however maybe just walk in and don’t make a reservation, or do whatever the other people did, who were not forced to opt into the 5 corse menu.

A lovely place in the Times Square area, but grossly overpriced especially for food that was not great. I won’t be returning.

Had the omakase. One of the very best meals of my life! Generous amount of food. The sake flight was amazing value for money, too!
