   旦那のバースデーお祝いに来店。 電話でサプライズでバースデープレートをお願いしていたのですが席に通され、「今日はbirthdayだよね！プレート出すからね！」 と言われてしまい旦那にはそこでばれました。サービス業ならそこは必ずサプライズでして欲しかったなぁ。。と最初から残念でした。 お料理は綺麗で、特にポークのメインが味も美味しかったけど、諸々含めてリピートはしなくていいかなぁという感想です！ でもあいにくのお天気の月曜なのに満席て活気はありました！

   なかなか時間が取れず、サンフランシスコ入りギリギリまで妻の誕生日のディナーが予約できてませんでした。 Opentableで、なんとか予約をして、コメントに誕生日と入れただけで、カードを用意してくれてました。料理も美味しく、満足しました。

   As person who works in the client experience industry, I pay attention to details and guest experience. Not only was the food exceptional, the attention to every detail took the experience from good to great. Highly recommend.

   We had the set menue. Food was delicious and plates looked nice. Service was attentive. Wine list is great. But do not expect to settle with less than 500 USD for two.

   This was our first dinner here since they remodeled. The good news is that the food is excellent as always: top quality ingredients with creative and intriguing preparations. But there are some downsides. First, the noise level. It seems they’ve added tables on both levels. We were seated at a small table for four, but could barely hear each other. Second, the service was rushed. Our first courses (and wine) arrived before we were halfway through our cocktails. The main course arrived within minutes after we finished the first course. Between the din and the speed, it felt like a cattle call. At that point there was no need for the second bottle of wine we had picked out but not yet ordered. (NB: The selection of wines is stunning.) Finally, there’s the obligatory prix fixe format—you will have dessert whether you want it or not! You can have a cheese plate instead, but don’t bother: it consists mainly of an olive-studded round of focaccia with two small bites of cheese on the side. In summary: Really great food, terrific staff, beautiful décor, but the charm and romantic atmosphere are gone…unless, perhaps, you manage to get a table for two on the lower level along the wall.

   We had a very smooth and lovely evening. Fantastic food. Solid drink menu. Service is perfectly timed with great hospitality. Lively and energetic but can easily have an intimate conversation.
