Bramley is a neighbourhood restaurant nestled in the heritage town of Abbeyleix.
Husband & wife; Sam & Emily Moody undertook a careful and considered refurbishment of this historic space to create a relaxed-elegant dining room re-capturing the historic feel of this beautiful building.
I the kitchen we celebrate Irish food using the very best of Laois’ larder & exceptional Irish suppliers. The menu is simple, seasonal, exciting and diverse.
Everybody is welcome to dine at Bramley; a friendly, relaxed & knowledgeable team allow guests to enjoy an at-ease Lunch or Dinner experience.

My partner and I had the tasting menu which was absolutely delicious. From the superbly flavoured cup of soup to the tender quail and robust beef dish everything was seasoned to perfection. Bramleys 7 course tasting menu was faultless. We were staying nearby and it came highly recommended and we were not surprised to learn that the chef had previously worked in Ballyfin. The restaurant is airy and the service was excellent. We would highly recommend Bramley’s for a memorable dining experience if you are in the vicinity of the pretty towns of Abbeyleix or Durrow.

We had the fishcakes for starter and the hake for main course, both were beautifully presented and tasted superb. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel relaxed and welcome. It was my partner's birthday so they brought a slice of chocolate cake to mark the occasion which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend and hope to return on our next visit to Abbeyleix.

We had the taster menu which was fantastic , service was great and the overall night was one of the best we had in a long time. I’d highly recommend Bramley

Hi, there was a limited choice and I was underwhelmed by choice. I opted for chicory with blue cheese. It had a watery white sauce. Not sure what it was but I don't think it was a good consistency. Friends toast with mushrooms was obviously too toasted. 3 of us ate and none of us were impressed. Nice decor. Overpriced for what arrived to table.

Was looking to meet up for lunch with my sister somewhere between Dublin & Limerick. A friend recommened Bramley. What a great find. Food & service was top class. Location worked a treat. Will certainly revisit here. Beats Barack Obama Plaza.
