Just steps from Central Park and Carnegie Hall, Brasserie Cognac’s stylish design offers a chic yet welcoming atmosphere, perfect for any occasion—whether a relaxed breakfast, a quick bite at the bar, a family lunch, or a romantic dinner. The menu highlights timeless French classics like cheese soufflé, moules marinières, cheese fondue, boeuf bourguignon, escargots, and croque monsieur, alongside American favorites such as the dry-aged burger and roast beef sandwich. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm.

    Place is beautiful! Service was very good. They have a very good bar at the entrance. We had a salad and a omelette not so soft how we like it.

    Food was very mediocre. Bland and unseasoned. Prices were too high for the poor quality and taste of the food. Table service was friendly. We made our reservation and were offered a $25 off a $75 purchase. The restaurant refused to honor it, argued with us, and refused to even comp an appetizer. The manager was rigid, unfriendly, and argumentative. We will not be back.

    Hi Wade, I am sorry to hear of your experience at our newly opened location. Im sorry about the coupon situation. I believe what you are referring to is the InKind credit, as we just opened we weren't set up yet to receive inkind payments and shouldn't have had it live, I do apologize for the misunderstanding and if you are ever in the area and would like to stop I would be happy to offer you the discount on us.

    Regrettably the food was tasteless and the service was unpolished. I have been to the other restaurants which are great but this was awful. So disappointing. The restaurant is beautiful. But that’s it.

    A fantastic place to visit in Manhattan. So glad they opened this restaurant right next to our home in CPS. Great food and service, a pleasant experience. Visited twice this week!

    So glad to welcome back Cognac to the West Side after a 5 year absence. Christian, our waiter back then and now, remembered us. The tuna bowl was exceptional. We'll definitely be back.

    it was their opening night, so I will cut them a break. The food is very good, came out in a reasonable time. Except, if you want the chocolate soufflé for dessert, order it when you are ordering your main meal, they don’t tell you that and I had to wait 45 minutes for it to come out. They were very apologetic, and recognize that they had messed up. But that was minor. The place has a nice ambience. The service is very good. The food was I’d say 3 to 4 stars. The fried calamari was a little soggy, not as crispy as I like it. The person I was with had the stewed beef dish that was pretty good. I had the rotisserie chicken, and that was pretty good too, a little on the dry side, but nothing else outrageous. Will keep them in mind for future visits.
