This restaurant does not belong in Weymouth or rather, Weymouth has no right to have a restaurant this nice.
Before you do go though, you should know a few things.
First, it's a scratch kitchen so the menu is small by design and necessity. But trust that the options are executed masterfully be it gluten free, pescatarian, or vegan.
Speaking of the food, it's neo-Italian cuisine. It's not American fusion, it's not Grandma's Italian kitchen either. It's fun, it's creative and it's accessible but it isn't the dated type of rustic this area is familiar with.
Speaking of dated things that set this particular restaurant apart from its surroundings, let's talk about the physical space.
The bar area is small and this cozy quality extends to the seating area as well, you're not getting bumped into of course but six is probably the max of a group you'd want to bring here. The space is decorated and lit in such a way as to enhance the intimate nature as well.
This makes for a great spot to bring your close friends, or a good date. Someone you want to spend an evening with and share a bottle of wine whether you're starting tge night or making a full evening of this dining experience.
Speaking of which, there's quite an impressive wine list. Including options I rarely see outside of the fully stocked liquor stores, so be mindful of that option for your evening.
One major concern I had and that the wonderfully down to earth but no less dignified staff were happy to resolve, was that of parking. There's a dedicated parking lot around the corner that's attached to the restaurant proper.
All said and done this is a hidden gem of a spot, it's fun, it's unique for the area and well worth dealing with the obnoxiousness of Weymouth landing traffic patterns.
Even if this restaurant deserves better than its Weymouth zip code, it's a gentrified step in the right direction for an up and coming neighborhood.
