From the minds of Adolfo Garcia (Son of a Butcher, Pearl Tavern) and long-time restaurateur, Phil Stefani, comes Broken English Taco Pub. Located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Lake Street, Broken English is steps away from Millennium Park, and in the center of the new vibrant hotel and residential area.

On the name, Garcia says, “I speak English with my friends, and I often find myself mixing in Spanish words because there are some phrases that simply don’t translate to English. This happens in many other languages and cultures, but that is what makes the name ‘Broken English’ fun – it is part of our daily slang.”

    Most of the tacos were sooooo good. My husband was raving about the cod tacos. I had the brisket and vegetable tacos and they were both great! The potato one was just ok. Our server was nice. Service was a little slow at the time bc they were slammed. The decor is a feast for the eyes with something to look at anywhere they land. THE CHURRO SUNDAE is killer and apparently changes seasonally.

    Delicious food (the goat cheese in the queso was perfection!). Huge portions! Fantastic cocktails! Lovely service. Great experience!

    Excellent food and service! Amazing Carne Asada tacos and brisket tacos. Amazing guacamole. My daughter had a pineapple Refresco and it was also delicious. Highly recommend!

    Great happy hour and the drinks and food were both fantastic. We had the happy hour nachos and shared four tacos. Plenty of food for a great price. Sat at the bar and had a lovely bartender. Would definitely return.
