   We usually love the food and service at The Brougham Arms Hotel but our recent experience was really ordinary and we won’t be rushing back. The waiter was hopeless and our meals were nowhere near the standard that they usually are.

   The Broughie has changed and the arrow points more toward pub than restaurant. We used to go to the place for the food and it was enhanced by the ambience and environment; now it’s great food, good service but more bistro than gastro-pub/restaurant. The music takes over the dining so not sure if you come for the food or the live music. Still enjoyed it but not sure it’s what I want; strangely the bar was quieter and maybe it’s a better choice for a good food, drink and a quiet end of week chat

   Lovely atmosphere, food was quite nice. My husband loved his steak. Octopus was tasty, just a bit overcooked however the delicious fresh salad made up for it. Service was exceptional. Overall a pleasant dining experience.

   The choices on the menu were excellent. The specials were also pleasing to view and added an extensive list to the customer. The kangaroo was incredible. And the flavour of the satay chicken special was good. We enjoy our return visits.

   A regular customer and always enjoyed our meals. The waiter was new to the job and we had to get his attention to take our orders. We were also sat under the air conditioning unit and despite asking it to be redirected it wasn’t and it got quite cold and uncomfortable

    Brougham Arms Review – 3/5 Stars We had a booking at Brougham Arms for 6:30 pm and arrived right on time. While we were seated promptly, it took 30-40 minutes before anyone brought menus or took our order. I eventually had to go to the bar to get someone’s attention, but once a waiter came over, they were friendly and helpful. The entrees arrived, and we placed our drink and main orders. Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues with my order. While my two friends' food and drinks came out correctly, I had ordered the Pan Baked Barramundi but was served a chicken dish instead. I also requested a 0% alcohol beer but was mistakenly given an alcoholic one. To their credit, when we pointed out the errors, the staff replaced both my meal and drink free of charge. However, it took another 30-60 minutes for my correct meal to arrive, meaning my friends were well into their mains before I even started eating. Pros: Friendly and understanding staff Good quality food (once the right dish arrived) Errors were corrected without extra charge Cons: Long wait times, especially before even receiving menus Incorrect orders (both food and drink) Significant delay in receiving the corrected meal Overall: The experience was fine, but the mix-ups with my order and the long waits made it less enjoyable. The staff were kind and accommodating, but the service could use some improvements in efficiency and attention to detail.
