Buona Forchetta Encinitas, our third location, blends award winning Neapolitan-style pizzas and Northern Italian upscale entrees in a family-friendly, approachable space. Located in Encinitas, this location boasts a indoor seating as well as an outside patio and a small room for private events. Inside, a gilded oven churns out classic creations, while the main kitchen serves up chef-driven pastas and entree dishes. Owner Matteo Cattaneo brought the Italian warehouse-style eatery to life.

Always excellent in every category. Staff is knowledgeable about menu specials and standard items. Food is served hot and quickly, even during busy evening. Happy to recommend this local eatery.

The food at Buona Forchetta is always fantastic. Our service last night was about the worst I have experienced at any restaurant in the last 5 years. 5 stars for the food. 1 star for the service. (The Hostess was great and it ended there) 3 stars overall. Whoever is managing this restaurant needs to take a good look in the mirror. I always recomend this place, so the experience was disapointing.

First of all we are old school Italians who cook and travel to Italy every year we like to try all the Italian restaurants in north county, and Buona Forchetta is one of the best. You will never go wrong with any of their dishes and the pizza is very good. Make sure to make reservations as the restaurant is small and always busy.

Very disappointed by the food. Kitchen needs to work on flavoring what were very bland dishes. The so-called focaccia was completely tasteless and lacked salt or seasoning. It more resembles Wonder bread than focaccia. With good bakeries everywhere these days there is no excuse for serving this low level of bread. Staff very pleasant and attentive.

Fast service, didn’t like while we were eating our entrees came out before we could even finish our burrata tomato salads. We were sat at a very small table with SUPER uncomfortable metal chairs. At only 8:00 staff started closing down restaurant & taking out trash in front of us, etc, etc. Okay but probably not worth repeating with all the other good restaurants in the area.

It is a decent value, food is well prepared and visually appealing. Heaters are nice on the the patio area.

If we could rate our experience above 5 stars, we would! The food here is amazing and so fresh! We have always been pleased when ordering to go from Buon Forchetta. This was our first dine in experience here and we plan to come back again and again. Our server Katie was lovely and made our evening very special! She had excellent suggestions and was attentive and timely. By the way… the artichokes appetizer is TO DIE FOR!

I always enjoy Buono Forchetta - great good and service. We brought visiting friends this time and they enjoyed the food and service. Only downside on this visit was the screaming toddler behind us.
