Buona Forchetta San Marcos, our fifth location, blends award winning Neapolitan-style pizzas and Northern Italian upscale entrees in a family-friendly, approachable space.     Excellent food. Only negative was sitting by the table by the hostess counter. Chairs too low for the table and front door was constantly left open by patrons leaving.

    Food was pretty good tonight. Service was fine. Had some uncomfortable chairs and had to talk the hostess into giving us an inside table for my reservation, it was chilly outside. I’ve had better experiences at this location and there other locations.

    We hv been here several times, so not our first visit. We went for lunch and the place was pretty empty, yet the service managed to not be great. One server with about three tables and we had a hard time flagging her down. The appetizers were great, the artichokes and the caprese salad. The pastas were also pretty good, we had the cacio y Pepe and a red sauce pasta that we enjoyed. Small servings for an Italian place, but we all managed to share and it was fine. We also ordered the Sergio pizza. Bad. Doughy, undercooked and because it wasn’t cut properly when we went to cut it, all the stuff fell off. I’m not ordering pizza there again. Overall the experience was nice, the food and service were mid.

    Lights are too bright for dinner and very loud! Love the food but will choose the other locations over this one.

    Located in a newly developing apartment living center. Came for lunch, lots of construction noises outside, so chose to sit inside, which was pretty cute & cozy. My friends ordered the beet salad & eggplant parmigiana, which they said were delicious and big portions. I had the spinach pear salad, which was mediocre and not anything special. Overall, the service was like my salad, friendly & fine but no WOW factor. I prefer the Encinitas spot.

    The food was tasty however, the restaurant was packed and they had 1 server!?! I know it’s the holidays, but this was awful. The server was so busy we didn’t get anything without flagging her down only for her to forget. We won’t be back.

    the food was delicious and we all had a great time, we were a little disappointed when we first walked in because the hostess wasn’t there and we stood at the front for about 5 minutes before anyone spoke to us. the servers and other staff were looking over but no one came to help us. after that, the service was great and we had a lovely time! the food was awesome and we’d love to come back and give it another shot!

    Food is always great here. Tried the Millefoglie Della Nonna for dessert. Was absolutely divine!

    We dined here last night, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The food was horrible—over salted, undercooked, and completely lacking any sort of flavor or freshness. For the absurdly high prices, we were expecting something at least passable, but this was beyond disappointing. The food came out in five minutes which means it was pre-cooked and was poorly prepared. It felt like no care or effort went into the dishes at all. On top of that, the service wasn’t great either—brought regular coke instead of Diet Coke and just lacked care. We will absolutely never be coming back here. Save your money and your taste buds—go literally anywhere else. Total waste of your money.
