Butter Me Up on T St is now open! Butter Me Up was born as a ghost kitchen at the flagship Halfsmoke restaurant in Shaw, DC, and after winning best breakfast sandwich in DC, opened as its own brick and mortar stores, both in DC and Bethesda. We expanded our menu to include toasts, fresh smoothies, and a coffee program when opening these locations, but have kept our award-winning sammies as well. We also have a full bar and offer happy hour service daily. Late night hours coming soon!

    I really liked Butter up. I gave it a four because of the drinks and the small tables. I love the ambiance and the decorations are super cute, food was good but they didnt have anything to substitute to make mocktails or have basic sodas. The tables were also incredibly small, so we sat at the bar , which was super cute, and was able to spread out there. Overall great experience

    We were sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant and no one came to take our order in the 20 minutes we were standing there. they were well staffed so there is no excuse. we ended up walking out and eating at Mi Vida across the street take got much better service.

    I ordered the “feels like home” breakfast sandwich, tater tots. The food was delicious. The “head peach in charge” was good. My only complaint is the service was slow. It took a long time to get our food.

    Very small space so I absolutely recommend you get a recommendation. I love how it seems very homey in there and it’s so beautifully decorated.

    Charming, cozy restaurant in DC’s 14th Street corridor. My friend and I had great service and delicious salads at lunch time! And the sweet potato tots were were so good, extra orders came home with us! 😊
