Café Cortina, nestled on the charming site of a former apple orchard in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has been delighting food lovers since 1976.     Everything was quite good. For the price, my wife’s appetizer and salad were pretty run-of-the-mill, though. The saffron risotto that was served with my braised short rib was also not fully cooked. My complaints are pretty small and it was overall enjoyable, but for the money we spent, I believe it should have been flawless.

    Great food, beautiful venue, incredible staff. Our Host, Mohammed, went out of his way to prepare and organize a private room for me to be able to propose and was as equally enthusiastic about it as I was. Tremendous Valentine’s experience all around.

    Long-term patrons was very disappointed by this experience. Food quality seemed like wedding banquet rather than fine dining service was nearly nonexistent. Aside from the wine service waited 20 minutes to be greeted at the front as a party without a reservation was given precedence and the rest of the evening followed suit and even able to get bread service until nearly dessert And water. Refills were not provided. We have been coming here for 15 years and I don’t think we will be coming back soon.

    The service is top notch. There are very few restaurants with such dedicated and attentive staff. This is where you come in on top. The food is always delicious. We love visiting your establishment.

    My college roommate form early 80's and I started reviewing restaurants in the Metro Detroit Area 4 years ago. We have hit 80% of all the top restaurants (over 120) and we both consider Café' Cortina in our top 2-3 restaurants. I am not sure that I would take children under 14 there, only because of the complexity of the menu/food, and it seems like most of the servers have strong accents that are not always easy to understand. With that said I love going there about every 4-5 weeks and trying something different each time. Last night I had lamb chops. They may have been the best I have ever had. I savored every bite. I have had lamb chops at many nice restaurants. There pasta's are all made in house and are always exciting to try a different one. Make sure you save room for desert, as their pastry chef makes some very unique and tasty treats. This is probably one of the least known restaurants in Metro Detroit, a hidden gem for sure.

    Absolutely delicious food and even better service. All the staff here are so professional and on point and truly make the dining experience memorable. Love that they have vegan options too.
