Campisi's Downtown is owned and operated by David Campisi and his family. The restaurant has a long and storied history, beginning in 1946 when David's great-grandfather bought a bar with a small kitchen and began making pizzas - the first ever in Dallas. Today, Campisi's Downtown still makes its famous pizza (you can even build your own if you like), and also serves up a huge array of pasta dishes, salads, appetizers and entrées. For dessert, try the tiramisu or Italian cream cake. There's something for every taste at Campisi's downtown, so bring the family and enjoy delicious beef, veal, chicken and seafood dishes (and pizza!) all made in the traditional Italian style.

Between the four of us, we had a pizza, chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs, and lasagna. We also had a bottle of wine and cocktails, which are reasonably priced. The pizza was amazing, but the pasta was not great. The sauce is flavorless and comparable to Cici’s pizza pasta buffet. Overpriced for the lack of quality. Also, the room we were in had a tv on the entire time which kills the vibe of making it seem like a “nice” dinner when considering how much our bill was. Our service was just okay, but it was Valentine’s Day, so we understood that it was a busy night.

Service was quick, courteous and stayed aware of our timing to get to a show at the Majestic down the street. The food, as always, was great - the artichoke appetizer is delish!

Our server had only been working there for two weeks. Matthew went out of his way to take care of us.

Our service was slow and some of our order was missed and had to get waiter to take off the bill. The food was just ok.

Had dinner at the Campisi's Downtown location tonight and the food and service were exceptional! We sat at the bar and Levon, the bartender, was super friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back!

Open table let us make our reservation for 9pm and had spots up until 1030 pm. We had just arrived into Dallas and got checked in to our airbnb. Made it a little bit early for our 9pm reservation only for the restaurant to tell us that they close at 9pm. There was nothing they could do even after we explained we had reservations. Our son was looking forward to experiencing dining here. Instead we were extremely disappointed. Update; After posting our review, Jonathan, restaurant manager, personally reached out to try and amend our disappointing experience. I am so happy to say that Jonathan and Romeo did just that. They went above and beyond to give us a much different experience. They were sincerely regretful about our bad experience. Thank you gentlemen for all you did! So now for the experience. Ambiance was excellent. If you’re looking for a romantic dinner or just drinks, you’ll love Campisi’s. Food was delicious! I had shrimp piccata, which isn’t on the menu, but they graciously accommodated my request. It was the best piccata I’ve had!😋 Husband had grilled chicken piccata and had the same experience. Every bite is full of flavor. Our son had a pepperoni cheese pizza which was also delicious. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese, and no sparing of pepperoni. I had a glass of Chardonnay and hubby a glass of Malbec. If you’re a fan of these wines, do yourself the favor of ordering a glass, or bottle 😉 We were served and taken care of by Romeo. Thank you Romeo for the excellent service, recommendations, and conversation. If you live in Dallas, or you go to visit, make sure Campisi’s is on your itinerary. You thank yourself after!

Our service was horrible. Tory never put our garlic bread and crab claw order in and when our meal arrived -Lasagna, it was COLD. We asked for just some regular bread that they serve everyone before the meal and he told us they don’t have any bread. They are out. When a different server returned with our reheated food we asked for bread and he gave us a basket of cold garlic bread. I have always had great experiences here but not this time. Service was horrible. We never even got an I’m sorry. We were there for 2.5 hours. It was and hour 15 before we got our first you d of cold food.
