Canto 73 is a Supper Club in Islington, come and visit us in our new permanent location 43 Newington Green, n16 9PX.

Every Friday and Saturday at 19:30 we host a single sitting Supper Club, an evening of delicious food and wine focusing on seasonal ingredients from independent producers. The Supper Club is a casual but special evening of seven courses for £60 a head, enjoyed in an intimate setting where we take all decision making from you allowing you to spend proper time with friends and family. We also offer a wine pairing (four glasses of lovely low intervention wines) for £25 a head. Our current menu can be found at canto73.com/menu

We can also be booked for private hires and events, so please use our email or website to get in touch if you would like to book something special.

    Join us on the 27th March for a one off Supper Club in collaboration with Pillars Brewery. We will be pairing 7 beers with our 7 course tasting menu with Pillars’ Peter Kennelly guiding you through the tasting. Pillar’s are London’s first independent lager brewery, based in Walthamstow, with award winnings beers. Perfect for beer lovers or those who want to understand more about the process of brewing and pairing beers, this will be an incredible evening! The evening starts at 19:00, at our restaurant at 43 Newington Green N16 9PX. All tickets are non refundable and we need to know via email (info@canto73.com) any dietary requirements 48 hours before the dinner.

    Food was exceptional and interesting. Service was fast and unfussy. Set menu is filling enough, you don't feel stuffed afterwards. Enjoyed the chef explaining each dish, maybe he could have clinked a glass rather than raising his voice? Anyway, was a thoroughly enjoyable and special meal.

    We were celebrating a special occasion when we went to Canto 73 but had the unfortunate luck to book dinner when a very large party of 20, who later became 30+ people, had booked a birthday dinner. The restaurant is a small place, so it was incredibly loud. The chef did ask the large group to respect the other diners and keep noise low but that didn’t help much. To be honest, I expected the food to be better. The service was good, our waitress was apologetic about the situation and when we were paying the bill, she said the extra two glasses of wine we ordered were on the house. However, that gesture at the end of the evening didn’t make up for the bad experience. We felt it was absolutely unreasonable for the management to accept such a large group booking and expect other diners to just put up with the noise. The owners should have just booked the whole place for the private party. I don’t think I’ll go again.

    Relaxed and highly enjoyable tasting menu experience in a beautiful space, extremely moreish flavours and warm service. Great value for high-quality creative dishes and interesting wine pairings too. Will definitely be back to try new menus!

    Really enjoyed the format of the restaurant. The chefs descriptions for each dish were enlightening and increased ones enjoyment of the food. Good value for London. Really enjoyed the carrot dish in particular. Location is new and has plenty of space. Will go again in a couple of months when the menu changes. Nice service. Good wine that was paired to the dishes.
