   We had an incredible experience! Highlights: **Leon:** He treated our table to a mini magic show for my birthday, and we absolutely loved it! **The Food:** Everything we tried was perfectly executed. In the States, a meal for three like this would have cost three times what we paid. My steak was cooked to perfection, and my sisters enjoyed the chicken dish. I highly recommend the cauliflower—trust me, you won’t regret it! **The Staff:** The team was friendly, professional, and attentive. The chef even came out to check on us, and we appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed to pay so they could flip the table. I understand that part of Live Aqua's charm lies in being all-inclusive, but I’m glad we made reservations at Carnivore. My husband and I have been to some of the top steakhouses in the U.S., and Carnivore is just as good as any of them, but at a fraction of the price.

   Slow slow slow service. Then an overcooked steak. Couldn't wallet an additional hour and twenty minutes for a replacement so I just ate half. Wouldn't recommend.

   Dining at Carnivore was a highlight of our Cancún vacation! The service and food was absolutely excellent (the mac and cheese is a MUST try). In addition to the delicious meal, we enjoyed a live saxophone performance, beautiful ambiance and then one of the waiters performed some card magic tricks for us at our table which definitely added to the unforgettable evening! We WILL be back.

   Good was ok. For an all inclusive they really tried. Worst issue was that the waiter couldn't grasp the concept that my wife and I were sharing pretty much everything on the table and she's gluten free. Every other place at this resort handled gluten free well. And this one started to... We made it clear we were sharing both appetizers yet he brought one out that wasn't prepared properly - and could have easily been prepared by swapping tamari for regular soy. I mean they did it with one of the appetizers but not both? His excuse was that he thought there was one appetizer for each of us. The manager did a good job trying to make it better.

   Carnivore needs to be taken off the Open Table app. As of 12/2024 they do not honor the reservations made on this app . We had two tables for a total of 13 people and the restaurant had no idea what we were talking about when we showed them our reservations. They could not/would not accommodate.

   While staying at Live Aqua, we wanted to try Carnivore, knowing that it was not included in the all-inclusive experience. We had heard from the concierge that they would be happy to make a reservation for us, but we found a link on the Live Aqua guest website to do it ourselves through Open Table, so we made one for 7:00 pm. When we arrived at 7:00, we were surprised we were the only ones in the restaurant at prime dinner time; we were even more surprised to be told they didn’t have our reservation and that they didn’t use Open Table. I showed the host the email that confirmed our reservation and he was able to “find” us a spot (in the otherwise completely empty restaurant). The service was fantastic after the initial confusion with the reservation, and the food was well worth the extra cost. While we were seated, we saw multiple other couples/families show up for their reservation time, only to be told they don’t use Open Table and they didn’t have their reservation. They were all turned away, even though there were still plenty of available tables. It seems we were lucky we got seated! I don’t understand why Live Aqua/Carnivore have the link on their guest website to make a reservation if the restaurant can’t accommodate them. They should direct everyone through the concierge! Also, there is a menu listed on the Live Aqua guest website that includes a special cocktail menu - when we tried to order from it, the server had no idea what we were talking about and couldn’t make those drinks. We heard other tables try to order off that menu as well and the servers were confused. We ended up ordering basic cocktails, which was fine, but we were confused about the menu that didn’t seem to exist. Overall, the service and food were great and I’d go back, but wanted other people to know not to use the Open Table reservations or menu!

   This restaurant is located inside an all inclusive resort (nowhere on open table do they state that). It was our anniversary dinner and they treated us like we were trying to enter Ft. Knox. It took them 10 minutes to let the cab in to drop us off, only to be escorted from one desk to another while continuously being asked to verify our reservations. Then they finally walked us to the restaurant and told us we could not leave the restaurant unless someone escorted us to make sure we left the property. They really ruined such a special occasion. I do not recommend you go here unless you want to be treated like a criminal.
