   This gem once again kept us warm and cozy on a romantic evening with great cocktails, delicious mussels/fries and salmon with potatoes and zucchini. The house wine is excellent and affordable, too.

   Our meal was fantastic. The beef tartare was one of the best we’ve had! The service was top tier, and the restaurant has one do the best settings in the city. Excellent restaurant that’s become one of our favourites over the years!

   My wife and I and another couple were at Cassis Bistro for their Valentine's Day Set Menu last Sunday. We've eaten at Cassis Bistro before and enjoyed it. We found the whole Dinner to be rushed. Every plate was whisked away before the last bite reached our lips with a new course served before our fork hit the table. I’m not sure what the hurry was, there wasn't any reservations after us? We weren't expecting a fast food experience. The wine pairings were also miserly with a couple of sips each. For $175 a plate (with tip) we expected a a more leisurely fine dining experience. The food was good but the whole experience wasn't what we expected. IF we go back we'll certainly avoid the set menu.

   The food was just OK. My wife and I were quite disappointed, particularly for a pre-set menu. The wine pairing was very nice (I didn't have any, but my wife really enjoyed all four, especially the one pair with the duck entree). However, the best thing we were served was the Garlic Snail pastry starter. We found the soup quite bland, and while the duck was cooked nicely, and the entire entree was seasoned well, it wasn't anything spectacular. It was a nice meal, but I was expecting better than nice. Especially for the price.

   I found the value to be elusive. Had the duck that was very tough. Small things like a simple glass of ginger ale cost about six bucks and it was served in a small whiskey glass half full of ice and 2/3 full. Won’t go back

    We love Cassis! Our favourite restaurant in Calgary by far! Full house on Valentines Day, but food was outstanding, as usual!
