   We booked this last minute after a day at Keeneland! It was a perfect ending to a great day!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing!! The ground were amazing and who doesn’t want to say they have eaten at a castle!! We plan to tell our friends and family and we will be back for brunch and other events!!

   While we loved the visit to the castle, and had the most precious server, we were disappointed with the long wait for our food. My scrambled eggs were dry and cold, and my mom’s Dutch baby was soggy, under cooked perhaps? With each plate being $20+, I was disappointed in the quality of the food. However, the shining star was the gravy and biscuits and the coffee. I did enjoy those very much!

    The tour guide did not arrive. We were offered a refund. They waited 30 minutes to tell us and we had to wait another 20 to be seated for lunch. The syrup was served cold. The breakfast potatoes were cold. The early grey lavender tea was too potently steeped to enjoy consuming. The chicken tenders were so overcooked they were almost burnt and very dried out. We were invited to tour the place ourselves as no other staff could complete the guided tour. The upstairs veranda had a public bathroom. The lock failed allowing me to open the door to a male employee squatting on the toilet. The dining room was so loud I could not carry a conversation with my husband. The picture frames were all crooked. They served a complimentary piece of birthday cake with a candle that blew itself out prior to arriving to the table. An elegant experience is what I had hoped for to celebrate my 50th birthday. A less than elegant experience is what you are reading about. The sales manager, Kate, was more interested in meeting potential new clients to book a wedding instead of treating the guest in the midst. The description of this place online does not match reality. Do not recommend unfortunately.
