Cedar + Elm is the heart of The Lodge at St. Edward State Park, a beautifully restored landmark hotel peacefully tucked away in a lush 326-acre forest just 30 minutes from Seattle.

Led by Executive Chef Luke Kolpin (Formerly of Noma and Bravo's Top Chef), Cedar + Elm’s menu is inspired by the undeniable spirit of the region we’re proud to call home. Every ingredient, flavor, and method of preparation is infused with an anchored authenticity. The bounty of each season informs our direction, culminating in familiar and approachable dishes with refined presentations and bold flavors.

Join us for breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, or brunch, for an inspired Pacific Northwest dining experience. We also feature live music in our Tonsorium Bar Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as well as all night happy hour Sunday through Thursday!

Join us in the charming Cedar + Elm dining room for a artfully curated dining experience, crafted course by course by the hands of Executive Chef Luke Kolpin. Experience the best of the bounty of each season through thoughtful renderings of Northwest cuisine with his signature Nordic touch, taken from years at restaurant NOMA in Copenhagen. Let us guide you through 5 courses of meticulously plated offerings, leaving nothing to be desired. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if any dietary restrictions or allergies need to be accommodated. Optional wine pairings are $65 per person. This experience will only be offered as advanced ticketing, and is only available on specific nights and in limited quantities. Not to be missed!

Join us at The Lodge at St Edward Park on Sunday February 9th for a romantic musical soiree not to be missed. Resident guitar legend and multi-instrumentalist Andre Feriante is composing an evening of romantic music featuring classic vocals from the American songbook, Spanish guitar, violin & guitar duets and love poems over a bed of music. Accompanying Andre is violinist and vocalist Linda Vogt, whose work has been seen in numerous NW orchestras, as well as her tenure in local lounge performances. Andre will bring the charm of his 18 consecutive Valentine's Performances at Benaroya Hall for this fine evening. Small bites included in the price, and full cash bar available. Come earlier in the day to experience the Valentine Maker's Market!

Grab your mask and beads and meet in Tonsorium Bar and the historic Remington Ballroom for a night to remember! Local 6 piece Jazz ensemble UMAMI will be guiding us through the night with their eclectic and tasty rhythms, horns and unique blend of sounds. We'll have festive cocktails just for the occasion, King cakes, and great Cajun specials to indulge in. Tickets include access to the performance and light appetizers. Very much enjoyed the experience eating in an atmosphere that sends you back in time. The food was excellent, using root vegetables, mushrooms and organic meats. Excellent desserts unique for this restaurant. We will ho back.

This was our first time and we fully enjoyed our experience. The venue is beautiful. The menu was minimal but excellent options and well prepared. Definitely a return trip is in order!

It was our first time at Cedar + Elm and what a really lovely experience. The ambiance was cozy, warm and romantic. The brunch menu is simple and delicious. I love that they have a great selection of lattes as well! This place is perfect for a date or a celebration! It’s hidden in a state park, so you can also plan to do a little “urban” hike while you’re here! This place is quintessential PNW vibes.

We had a quiet Wednesday lunch here. What was good ... An intriguingly curated cocktail menu - we wanted to try them all! The best fries we have ever had - seriously! Worth the visit just to try them. My wife had an outstandingly good Wagyu beef burger. Service was excellent - Jorge is a star! Ambience - it's an airy open restaurant in the lodge and of course in a beautiful setting. What was moderate ... I had a a cauliflower steak with mushrooms and a cauliflower / mushroom puree. It was good, but just a little bland. I'd have liked a dash of something sharp / spicy to add some lift, but then I do like a kick in my lunch. Nevertheless it was good and nicely prepared and presented. And nothing bad at all. An excellent lunch and good value too. Definitely going again, but I may watch the menu for changes in the vegetarian option.

The tea was lovely. Each item was beautifully presented. Live music was a treat. I wish there had been a difference in the sandwiches besides filling. Everything was a two bite item and I’ve never walked away from tea and still could eat more until now.

While I'm grateful to have been able to have a gluten free afternoon tea experience, my friend was NOT gluten free and did not want gluten free food. The restaurant tried to accomodate the mistake by bringing her a small plate, but it was only 5 small items. They were all savory items, no sweet cakes. She had to ask for scones. I wish she could have eaten the "regular" menu as the offerings looked more impressive in volume and quality. The gluten free sandwiches were toasted but lacked flavor and honestly filling. There was more bread than cucumber filling on one sandwich. As this was afternoon tea, I really expected gluten free scones and was disappointed with just crackers instead. My favorites were the small cakes and mushroom stuffed endive. For this price, I expected more volume of options, fillings and better quality food. The service, ambiance and tea was good but probably won't go again.

We had a pleasant experience having breakfast. The server was polite and friendly. We enjoyed the food and did not mined the high price to have a quality food. However we were surprised by an extra culinary charge! There should have been an explanation of this frivolous charge.

The explanation of the 3% Service Charge is included on the check detail which tells our guests that "100% of this tax is paid to the cooks and stewards working behind the scenes." This is a small gratuity that is added to the pay of our hourly culinary team, in addition to their base hourly rate, a small incentive to them for their hard work for our guests.
