1983年に創業したChamard Vineyardsは、 Connecticut Wine Trails創設者の一つです。Chamardが位置するロングアイランド湾とコネチカット川の間は、シャルドネ、リースリング、ゲヴュルツトラミネール、カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン、カベルネ・フラン、メルロー、ピノ・ノワールなどのヨーロッパブドウ（ヴィニフェラ種）を育てるのに理想的な特有の海洋微気候に恵まれています。「コネチカット海岸線からフランス風ワイン」を生産することがChamardsの当初からの目標です。ファームとして、Chamardは仲間の農産物生産者、食品生産者と提携することにより、ワインと料理をペアリングして、コネチカットの地元グルメを称賛しています。

Thursdays are apparently less well attended that Friday or Saturday, which was wonderful. Our table for four chose the fireplace to the left of the front door, and we were totally satisfied with every part of our experience. The White we chose was crisp and terrific, and our meals were delicious. The only thing worth mentioning is that our meals could have used another 30 seconds in the microwave before delivery - better for us to wait for them to cool down, than to find things already cooled down.

Chamard is a special place. We feel so fortunate to have found this gem. I almost want to give a bad review so we can keep this amazing place to ourselves. The truth is that everything was great. It started with attentive friendly staff and on the spot service. As a vineyard, the wines were extremely good. We did two flights, one of white and one reds so we could do a sample of many wines. All were excellent. We settled on one of the combo blends with lunch (not available as a flight) and it was magnificent. We also brought home multiple bottles. For lunch we started with the Camembert en Croute and the Charcuterie which were both great. The croute is not to be missed. We also sampled the marinated olives and the mac and cheese. Highly recommend both. The pressed chicken, schnitzel and croquette madame were linch main courses and all were well prepared and delicious. Cappuccino and chocolate mousse plus an apple bake were dessert. Outstanding food, wine, and service in a beautiful setting even in winter. Do not miss this bistro

Very enjoyable lunch at Chamard Vineyards Winery Bistro: very nice table by the fireplace, great service and delicious food. We were a party of four and we were all really pleased with our lunches. The staff member who waited on us was excellent and it was so enjoyable to not be rushed.

This is a favorite restaurant of mine. The food is always perfect and delicious, I might see bluebirds or other birds of interest while looking out the window, and it is convenient to get to and meet friends. Not to mention the delicious wine and beautiful ambience! I usually do take home a bottle of my favorite stone cold white
