    The overall ambiance of the restaurant was visually pleasing and the show was fun as well but the food was mediocre at best, especially for the price you pay. They also took forever to bring the food out and while I understood that this restaurant is more on the fancier side and they are to attempt to upsell you on more food, liquor, or even the shisha, if someone doesn’t want anything more than what they initially ordered then they shouldn’t have to wait over an hour for the things that they did. However, the staff were attentive and the performers were extremely nice and engaging with the crowd during certain moments. Wouldn’t recommend otherwise.

    This place is a rip off, for the following reasons: 1. Extremely expensive (and we are from southern CA and Hawaii so we’re used to high prices), even for Cabo. 2. Mediocre quality: ribeyes were fatty and not extremely tender. Burger was dry. 3. Tiny plates that weren’t big enough for the side dishes or comfortably eating the burgers. 4. Extremely overpriced wine list, there weren’t any cabs under $140 USD, and most were over $200. 5. Beware of the mixed drinks. They quote you $10-$15 but that doesn’t include the alcohol, that’s extra! A beefeater martini totaled $25. 6. They asked us upon check-in if we were celebrating anything, and we were, but never did anything for us. Our server was nice, and asked us how the meal was. When we gave him some of this feedback he apologized but didn’t even offer a complimentary dessert or any discount. It was our most expensive and worst meal in Cabo.

    My previous experience at Chambao was excellent. This time unfortunately, I did not have the same experience. We were the first ones in the restaurant when they opened, and quickly decided on what we wanted to order, starting with their famous Wedge Salad. Except they were out of lettuce. How is a high-end restaurant like Chambao out of lettuce right at opening?? That’s absolutely amateur level. There’s a large supermarket two blocks away. Why didn’t the chef send someone to buy lettuce? Fail. We ordered two filets and sides of Brussels Sprouts and asparagus. The filets were done properly, but the asparagus was over cooked and the Brussels Sprouts were bland and oily. I asked for Bearnaise sauce for my filet, and was told they did not have any. I asked for horseradish, they did not have any. The steak came with what was described as the “house steak sauce”, which was nothing more than Ketchup with a little Tabasco sauce. Despite being only one of two tables with customers, our drinks were empty on several occasions (a pet peeve) and the service while pleasant, was fairly slow. All in all, a disappointing experience, especially given the price. Not sure we’ll be back any time soon.

    The impeccable service and presentation of the food makes this restaurant stand out over the others. My husband loved his filet and I had the fire shrimp, which I enjoyed without the added heat. Everything is a La carte. This is definitely a special occasion place as it is very pricey. But we had an outstanding experience.

    Great experience at Chambao. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We went with kids and they staff provided cookies for the kids to decorate for día de Los muertos event they had going on.

    El lugar no estaba muy lleno y aún así la atención no fue la mejor, el mesero que nos tocó fue 0 atento. Fuimos a celebrar un cumpleaños y no hubo ningún tipo de festejo.

    Really wanted to love this place. Total tourist trap. Most expensive meal we’ve ever had in Cabo, and totally subpar. Burnt steak and lobster. Crazy ambience with fire dancers and random models standing around fanning themselves.
