Char is a Southern-style modern steakhouse offering USDA Prime and Choice cuts of meat, fresh seafood, home-style sides to share, weekday lunch specials, classic cocktails and an extensive wine and bourbon selection.

    I like Char and have gone there for both lunches and dinners. This last lunch was eso specially good. I asked for a booth with online reservation the day before (which helps for for better hearing conversation) and they did that- it was Wednesday- fried chicken...it was excellent- we all got it and it was perfectly done- everything was good as was the servicer. Good price and excellent meal. We had fun

    Saturday brunch at Char was the highlight of a recent trip to Nashville. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, our server was congenial and attentive, and the food was flawless. There were so many wonderful items on the menu to choose from that we had trouble deciding, but given how delicious our meals were, it’s safe to say you probably can’t go wrong no matter what you choose. We knew storms in the evening would make dinner out unpleasant, so we ordered bowls of gumbo to go and had a perfect dinner from Char in our hotel room.

    I asked for a booth and got the best booth in the house, right by the piano!! The food was delicious! We ordered the sautéed crab claws and onion rings to start. The onion rings were light n airy. The crab claws were buttery n delicious. I had the crab cakes which were hot n served with micro greens on top!! My husband ordered the consistently good gumbo and ceasars salad with the best croutons ever!! There was a little too much dressing but still good!!!

    We LOVE Char! The atmosphere is always amazing, and the food is absolutely delicious. We celebrated my husband's birthday here and, as always, had a fantastic time. Michael, the bartender, is always so friendly and makes some truly great drinks! Whether it’s for a special occasion or just because, Char will always be our go-to spot!

    Had a great evening at dinner. The gentleman Cedric provided excellent service and was very prompt and accommodating. Dinner started my wife’s birthday to be an excellent weekend

    I was recommended to char " sure, why not?" I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service at Char last night, our server was wonderful. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I was a bit disappointed with crab cakes, mashed potatoes. I appreciate your attention to this.

    We absolutely feel that Char is one of the most solid restaurants in Nashville as it constantly delivers top quality food along with an ambiance that brings a very happy experience. The music in the lounge adds an extra delight each night along with the bartenders who constantly bring their smiles and engaging conversations! Thanks to Michael Justin Jamie Jess and all the staff for a wonderful experience each and every evening!
