   Great service tonight. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Food was good as usual. I wish they had more vegetarian options.

   Lobster bisque, lobster carbonara, NY Strip steak with sizzling mushrooms, mud pie and caramel macadamia nut cheesecake were FANTASTIC! We went for our 32nd anniversary and everything was perfect. Our server, Jay, was attentive and helpful. Ambiance and view cannot be beat. For a special occasion, this was thee place to go. Wonderful meal and a special moment.    Good food and done well just a bit skinny on the protein and the birthday size mud pie is way too small haha. 🤣

   Really disappointing service - waited just totally disappeared for hours. and no one checked; out of water forever; food meh. We would’ve ordered and drank more but no one asked! We also seemingly got the worst table, unfortunate for a special celebration.

   Stopped in with our out of town family. We were hoping for happy hour bar but had reservations just in case it was full. Of course bar was full so we sat at our table. The food a service was great!!! The view was so beautiful. I loved the calamari and veggies!

   Always a special dinner with a view and as usual, Chart House didn’t disappoint. Spring / Summet time change brings an even longer time before sunset to enjoy this special OC California panorama over the Dana Point harbor. Great place to bring someone from out of town! Dinner was super fresh with wonderful fish and a variety for those who prefer other choices . Macadamia Crusted Mahi is so hard to resist with a delightful mangoes salsa, a cone of jasmine rice and fresh green veggies sauted to a slightly crunchy finish. My guest said the salmon was great too! Even though we had a bit of an issue in the beginning, our server Natasha was concerned and quickly got it resolved. Even the new Executive Chef, Jayden, made as special effort to come out and make sure we’d were happy!!! Even the longtime valet is a happy warrior standing out in the brisk, cold, wet or mild days or nights in welcoming you to the restaurant or sending you on the way. So sorry I forgot his name, but he needs to be acknowledged, so please thank him for us!! I only took off one star off for the “hard to keep up and correct” the age showing of a mid-century ocean front, cliff-top restaurant . It could use a little woodwork, door, railing revarnish and carpet upgrade. She’s a little dated, but still such a classic beauty !! We truly enjoyed our meal and catching up together over a midweek meal when it’s less crowded. Highly recommend the Chart House in Dana Point as a classic name in dining! You can’t ask for more…

    Beautiful overlook of Dana Point Harbor and interesting layout contributing to the ambiance of the restaurant. Food choices are good and offers a trio of entrees with salad or soup and a dessert for $55 which is a great deal. Good wine list. The service was outstanding. The food was very good but the mashed potatoes on my plate were barely warm. I would expect better at this price point. Overall a great experience and would go back when in the area.
