    Waited to be seated past reservation. Service was slow and frazzled. Interior was dated. Sea Bass was overcooked. Outside ambiance was amazing and lobster risotto was very good.

    Not the Chart House of "old days" Way understaffed and the service staff was so overstretched.....had to bus their own tables, pour their own water and coffee. Sad to see a once great restaurant go down the tubes.....manager was constantly trying to put out the fires. Still great location!

    Our party had early bird specials. Orders of ptime rib and shrimp pasta. All excellent. Caesar salads were huge and very good. Clam chowder was tasty. Desserts of Creme Brule and chocolate sundaes were good. Meals were a good value.

    We sat on the patio on a lovely breezy afternoon. Our server Maka was amazingly attentive. Our food was delicious and good sized portions. I saw the manager on a constant move to make sure everything was running smoothly.

    The server took a while to show up to the table and forgot to put in our order for the appetizer , but when the entrees arrived it made up for it because the Mac Nut Mahi was best fish dinner I've ever had in my life and my husband enjoyed the bouillabaisse very much. The drinks were tasty. It was calm and the server was pretty attentive after that. We gave her a regular tip for the bill 15% either way even though we were waiting for 15 minutes, I understand it was Valentine's Day night on a Friday adm the restaurant was pretty busy. I left satisfied. Great food.

    We ordered the Valentine sweetheart special, which included a three course meal of our choice. I had a king salmon with gnocchi’s and asparagus, and my date had surf and turf, lobster tail, and fillet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I had lobster bisque for appetizer she had strawberry salad and then we split a lava cake With chocolate and ice cream scoop on top. Everything was very good. Then afterwards he went to the bar and had a glass of wine for a nightcap and then drove home my first time at that place and it’s a gorgeous location on longboat key looking forward to going back again

    This was our third time at Chart House - Longboat Key. Each visit has been wonderful, with friendly wait staff, great food and a nice "old school" fine dining ambiance. Being Valentine's Day it was as expected, busy, but not overly so. We only had one glitch in the experience. With seating being delayed we sat at the bar for a drink but gave up after 20 minutes of being ignored by the male bartender. He looked at us a few times but for some reason just served people on either side of us. Seemed to be catering only to those who were dining at the bar, so maybe it was a (bigger) tip thing, who knows. I must say that our server, Brook, was a sweetheart. She said she was new to the Chart House, so hang on to this girl, she was great!
