A new French bistro nestled in a historic townhouse on the Upper East Side. In the main dining room, Executive Chef Zack Zeidman delivers Parisian classics with Basque flair. Upstairs at Salon de Fifi a l’Étage, master mixologist Yumi Nemoto showcases innovative signature cocktails, served alongside light bites from the kitchen below.

    The restaurant is lovely, but the service needs improvement. Our waiter made some good suggestions, but mostly just tried to upsell us on every dish. We ordered drinks twice and both times it took quite a while for them to arrive. Same for the pacing of the courses - very drawn out. Overall, the food was good, but the service did not match what this restaurant is trying to be.

    An instant classic! Beautiful, architecturally welcoming interior, warm knowledgeable hospitality and wine service, delicious dishes executed with Southern French flair and none of the typically high level of salt prevalent among NYC restaurants. Love this place.

    I usually only write reviews with complaints. However, the dining experience last night at Chez Fifi was the opposite: perfection! No, I am not a planted reviewer! But with a just opened restaurant that one would expect some startup issues, and very little info on the internet, my expectation was far exceeded. The roast chicken dinner was perfectly cooked. The accompanying potatoes were among the best I have ever tasted. In a really nice setting, and the dessert served upstairs in the lounge, I have no complaints...just how to secure another reservation in the future.
