Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Staunton VA, The Chop House Tavern elegantly showcases a refined take on Chef Ryan Zale's culinary creativity. Professionally executed by Sous Chef Brendan Almy, guests can expect the signature proteins and menu staples found on our sibling restaurants menus, (Local Chop and Grill House, Harrisonburg VA, and The Chop House Bistro, Luray VA) as well as delicious takes on comfort tavern food classics. My steak was excellent. Our salads were yummy. The apple mustard sauce was delicious.

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. I had the Faroe Salmon and it was outstanding! This is becoming my go to restaurant in Staunton!

The beautiful dining room was filled but not uncomfortably crowded, unlike the bar which looked like the customers were "squeezed" in. The bar had 8 barstools; would look more elegant if there were 6.

Our server was great, food was excellent, and price was good as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone thinking of trying it out!

Food, etc. was excellent. We had very nice young man as our waiter. He told us he is very new, so it took some time to get answers to a couple of questions and a very long time to get my credit card processed. We totally understand all of that. What stunned me was the price of my drink. I ordered a double Single Malt Scotch (started with an "Mc...?" and it cost $38!!! We weren't shown the spirits menu with prices. I would never have ordered that Scotch if I had known. Glad you are here.. anxious to try other things on your menu. Pam Huggins

Our server was excellent, attentive, knowledgeable. Food was generous and tasty. Toward the end of the evening (8:45 pm), once again, no one was at the Host stand to say "Thank You" or "Have a good evening." There should be someone there. However, there were two employees sitting at the bar looking at their phones.

Amazing food and service. We went for my husbands birthday, they gave him a sweet plate with minted chocolate. Decorated beautifully and the staff was amazing
