Clark’s Montecito is a stylish all-day restaurant celebrating coastal American classics spanning from New England to California. In addition to its flagship menu of oysters and raw bar, a signature burger, daily catch specials, lobster rolls, chowder and refreshing crudo, this California location features seasonal bounty from the Pacific Ocean. The wine list highlights California classics alongside French whites and reds primarily from Burgundy and the Loire. Clark’s signature martinis and cocktails are always available. A collaboration between Lambert McGuire Design and Santa Barbara-based architect Jeff Shelton, the space offers a seamless indoor-outdoor dining experience that marries Clark’s classic coastal design features with the more whimsical ceramic tile traditions of Portugal and Mexico and a Mediterranean-inspired design that pays homage to its coastal setting and historic Spanish Colonial Revival architecture.

The food was very good. Service was pretty good too. Just very pricy for sitting at a picnic table. Bar service was nice…we’ll be back.

There are 2 options for booking. One is Restaurant and one is Outside. We booked our reservation for Restaurant over a week ago. When we got there we were told that Restaurant option means the entire place and therefore could mean inside or outside. She said the only table available was outside. Inside was a 90 min wait. I said we booked restaurant, not outside. Hostess said that agreed that it doesn’t make sense and she has complained to management but they won’t change it,This seems like a bait and switch and is purposely misleading so they get more bookings. This is a very bad business practice.

We wanted to love this. The wait staff is welcoming & friendly & earnest but after much touching tables, we started to feel they wanted to hurry us along. The noise is off the charts loud, too loud for much talk. If music was playing we never heard it. The food was abundant and over salted and peppered. Beware of the clam chowder! This would be delicious if they let you add your own Tabasco but they tell you later you can order it without. The Clams & Mussels is showered,with pepper flakes. Delicious Cole slaw, but too much everything! Someone over salted the fries,too. Share the salads.

Clark’s is so good! The oysters and fish selections change every day. The staff is very nice and super knowledgeable. Great addition as indicated by crowds every night!

This is a good mrestaurant, and everything went very well overall. However, there was total confusion among the staff. None of the servers were able to explain the differences between the various 5 caviars, which are priced totally differently. Even less so were anyone able to explain the differences between the 6 oysters, particularly regarding their sizes. We ordered what were supposed to be the largest oysters, yet very tiny American oysters arrived at the table, much to our surprise and disappointment. Eventually, the manager had to intervene and replace them with other oysters. It seems that training the staff on caviar and oysters would be an excellent idea, as no one seemed to have any understanding of these key menu items. It felt as though they had just arrived from the Moon yesterday. Let me know if you need adjustments!

Beautiful new restaurant in Montecito specializing in service and freshly prepared food in an intimate setting. I met my friend there for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The entire staff is friendly and very welcoming. We had amazing service and perfectly recommended dishes from our server Drea. I ordered a perfect Manhattan to start and it was perfectly delicious. My friend had the crudo plate and he raved about the freshness of the fish. A had Clark’s wedge salad with bacon lardons. Perfect portion sizes and well balanced starters. For main courses he had the fresh grilled tuna and I had the chicken breast paillard. We shared a side of crispy marbled potatoes with chimichurri. All dishes were excellent. We each finished up with slice of key lime pie and wow was that a delicious end to a wonderful meal. Bottom line: excellent staff, top notch service, really nice new restaurant, excellent location, and freshly prepared high quality food with fair prices. Can’t ask for more. Can’t wait to return.

First of all inside is too loud. Recommend sitting outside. The classic vodka martini was the best I’ve ever had. The first course of watercress salad and beet salad were just ok. My wife loved her scallops my crab cake was not golden brown as they should be but brown very brown and overcooked so they were dry and it didn’t arrive with the promised hollandaise sauce but when our server was alerted she brought it out quickly. The sides of broccolini and the side of grits were great. The key lime pie was the best part of the meal. There are many better restaurants in Montecito.

The service was outstanding, the food was excellent. We sat outside, it was a bit chilly even with the heat lamps overhead. We will define go back.
