   The food was good but we didn’t feel what we got was worth the price. We had the Easter brunch. For the price we shouldn’t have had to pay for tea; it should have been included. Where we were seated it was very loud, compared to where the buffet was positioned. Not sure why but we could hardly hear ourselves speak or hear the wait staff speak with us. The service was poor. Someone served us water and then we waited 15 minutes and no one came to us until I flagged someone and then they said they would have to get someone to answer my question. No one checked on us once we received our main food. We were left alone. After we ate we again sat for 15 minutes and I had to find someone to find our waiter before he then came over 5 minutes later to give us our bill. I also felt when you’re charging $70 a person for Easter brunch there should be a dress code of at least no baseball caps and no shorts and tank tops for men. Disappointed on our first visit.

   We were new to La Cocotte. We were 5 for Easter brunch. Food was good and plentiful, great service, the cost was a bit high, but everything was so good.

   Excellent quality food, hot and fresh; apps served with warm bread with whipped butter. Service was very professional and friendly but it was quite leisurely in delivery. We had tickets to a show and made it out within 2 hours but we skipped appetizers, desert, and coffee. Drinks took forever to come - 25 minutes to be exact, though a busboy offered us water soon after we sat. It was a bit loud by the time we left at 7pm (Saturday)- had to lean in to converse with the table. Of the food, the mussels and salmon were enjoyed, as were the pernod shrimp and french onion soup. Overall its a lovely spot and we'd like to return again.

   Delicious as always great service. Very loud due to being very busy and a tad expensive but the food is divine so we keep going back Will eat dinner here tonight as well as this review was for breakfast . The eggs Benedict and the Coq o vin is divine

   First time here. Food really good (smoked salmon eggs bennie). Service good, very hard to find parking though. My only real complaint was the noise level… at times it was difficult to hear my friend sitting right beside me in a booth.

   I'll break it down in 3 parts: Food, drinks, and service. The food was very good. At a table of 8, we had pasta, several steak frites, veal, and scallops. Everyone polished their plates and enjoyed the food. Drinks / bar was weak. I ordered a signature Old Fashioned, and after a few minutes, our server, Y., came back to inform me that they did not have the Maker's Mark bourbon. So they could do it with a different bourbon for $4 more money (on a $21 drink!) or make it with Crown Royal (ick!). No thanks. How about signatrure Negroni? Y. goes away for a few minutes, and comes back saying "we can't make that one but we'll make you a great Negroni." Thirty minutes later I finally got the drink. It was fine. I ordered a Winter Blossom next and it was fine. Another member of my party asked if they could order a Mojito - they have all the ingredients on the menu, but for reasons unknown they could not prepare a common cocktail. Service was slow. In addition to the slowness of the drinks and bar service, another member of my party noticed how slow the service was. She kept track of Y.'s visits to the table and counted up to 34 minutes between check-ins. Not good. At the end of all of this, Y. brought the invoice for me to pay. As we were a party of 8, Y. quickly said "we charge 18% gratuity on all tables of 8 or more," which is true and was stated upfront. I have visited many restaurants with large parties, and typically (especially in this day and age with high sensitivity to tipping generally) servers frame this along the lines of "we typically charge x% on parties of n or more, but if you feel that we haven't earned that please let us know and we can revise it." To be honest, I don't know if I would have reduced it - but the assumption that this exceptionally slow service with an inability to make common cocktails and even the signature drinks from the manu certainly warranted a discussion. Would I recommend this restaurant? Maybe. Would I do back? Doubt it.
