   Sounded interesting from reviews, and menu looked promising.....but that's about all they got going for them, so that will be short lived...they were out of the meal we wanted , but the waiter kept telling us what a shame that was-because it was far and away his favorite, and nothing else was as good....he otherwise was awkward, off in his timing and not smooth or trained in fine dining....lot excited or enthusiastic, really a dull person just doing the bare minimum - which is sad because it would be just as easy to have some passion about something / literally anything / be we got nothing from him....any modicum of charm and personality would have made 100% difference in our experience. What a disappointment...will never go back nor recommend to anyone.

   Food was amazing. We had Gulf fish dip with chow chow and the crab maison to start. So fresh and delicious! Not overly dressed, perfectly seasoned. We subbed potato chips for a GF preference. My husband had the short rib and I had the trumpet mushrooms and crab entree with butternut squash. One of the best things I’ve tasted in a long time!

   One of the best restaurants in a town full of great restaurants. Don't sleep on the wine list.

    Have visited New Orleans several times over the past 15 years and this was the first time I’ve been to Coquette. The food was excellent. Each dish was well thought-out and executed so well. Service was excellent as well. My go to spot in the Crescent City.
