I was disappointed as I had booked a table by the window several weeks in advance and when we got there the lady that dealt with us said she had several requests that day for a window seat. I tried to explain that I had booked several weeks ago so it should have been reserved. Unfortunately it fell on deaf ears so we had to just except it. Food excellent and our waitress lovely.

Lovely evening here, nice and warm and felt cosy, busy too with a mix of all ages Gorgeous Calamari starter to share. My chicken salad was disappointing, soggy croutons and lots of the hard core from the chicory not really edible, we calmly mentioned it to the staff and they offered to bring more croutons and deducted it from the bill which was greatly appreciated My partners fish soup was delicious and he also enjoyed the banana panaches, coffee was pretty ok too. We Will definitely return and give it another go 😍

Fantastic experience for a 21st birthday lunch with 5 diners .. ate off the set menu … enough choice and all food great quality. Starters fantastic as well as the chicken / steak main course … Steak cooked to a perfect medium … Fantastic service and complimentary Prosecco for the birthday boy was amazing … Woukd eat here again .. Service fantastic … we will be back …

We had a lovely meal fab atmosphere and very festive but definitely will visit again when we are next up in York.

Service poor so much so we were offered free drinks, food portions small & side of cauliflower cheese very poor, sat down to eat at 7.20 but waited over an hour for food to arrive
