The service provided by our server, Russel, was commendable, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. However, there was a notable absence of interaction from the manager, who was expected to greet customers and inquire about their experience as part of the customer service survey. While the food and environment were satisfactory, and the prices were generally reasonable, the cost of drinks was quite high. For instance, I ordered two doubles of Buffalo Trace, which amounted to $52. This seems excessive, especially considering that a whole bottle can be purchased at a local store for around $30.

The heater is loud outside but that’s to be expected. I love this place but the experience is always up or down. This time it was excellent!

I had previous good experiences, but this restaurant has gone downhill. Very so, so experience. Wanted to have a pleasant casual experience. Two craft beers we ordered were tapped out, so 2 of our group of 4 had to re-order. We were more than halfway done before beers arrived. Waitress seemed inattentive. We had to remind her. Manager did stop by and asked us how the meal was. We told her and she comp us for the late beers. Music and noise level was intrusive. Flies and other small insect were an irritant. Will not go back by choice.

Evening started out with friendly greeting by the two very personal receptionists, no rush in ordering, server was excellent, food great as usual, manager stopped by for conversation, and since it was a birthday gathering, the staff sang the Birthday Song! Great evening shared with friends! Thanks!

Burgers were great. Shrimp and grits were up to par! Fried Oreos are something different and an experience to try. Overall great service and food.

Three of our party ordered the Wake and Bake burger; everyone agreed it was an exquisitely balanced, thoroughly delightful burger. The blackened blue cheese burger was also delicious. Oysters were a worthy starter. And we all thought the 5-ounce beer glasses were marvelous. We all live far from Williamsburg, but we’d gladly return.
