Cubana at Smithfield is the sister restaurant of the established Cubana at Waterloo - famous for its Mojitos, Cuban food and salsa music. Cubana at Smithfield also offers a bar and restaurant, but adds a coffee roastery and in-house baker, baking artisan breads and pastries - alongside an eat-in or take-out café and lunch-time Street Food. Cubana at Smithfield is open from breakfast to early evening cocktails and dinner and is available at weekends for private parties and events.

                                                                            The food was bland. Prawn skewers were supposed to be marinated but looked boiled. Chilli rice had no flavour and certainly no spice. We were sat next to an open plan kitchen and so were cold the entire meal due to excess ventilation. We were rushed while ordering the whole night until we complained about the food, at which point all members of staff became inexplicably absent. After voicing our complaints the manager did reduce our bill but I can’t say that this made the experience good value for money. If you’re not bothered by bland food then Cubana is definitely the place for you. As you can imagine, against this backdrop the live music became increasingly jarring. The cocktails were, however, acceptable.

                                                                            Unusual but very enjoyable with a very good atmosphere, quality food and very good service. Well worth a visit

                                                                            Not sure if this is the fault of Cubana or OpenTable, but the restaurant wasn't open. Our booking was accepted for 6pm Saturday and I received a reminder email the day before. Very unhappy at spending time and money to travel to a restaurant that doesn't open on weekends.

                                                                            Booked for 6pm a table for 2. Got there to be turned away by the doorman because "there was a private function on " Manageress said they tried contacting me but that was a lie. I will never go back there.

                                                                            limited but great selection on the menu, and enjoyed every morsel Happy hour on limited number of cocktails, but the key ones. Fantastic place if you want a good meal & drinks with friends in quiet surroundings Live music starts at 9pm, and very good cuban/spanish music

                                                                            As much as I loved the location and the service, the food has disappointed me a lot. We tried quite a few dishes amongst startes and fish & meat mains but we were not impressed by any of them. I think it lacked in freshness and texture. The presentation was ok. Overall, a nice place were to go for a drink and a bite (after a few drinks, so everything tastes better) but in my humble opinion not a foodie destination

                                                                            Went here for a catch up with a friend. The dishes were very good, and excellent value. The drinks were good too. I hadn't heard of the dishes before but they were delicious. Will definitely go back
